After reading tons of trip reports on this site, I decided to experience shrooms for myself. I have a lot of questions about spirituality, and I wanted to see if mushrooms could provide some answers. I started by taking 5 grams of Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms alone, and I locked my bedroom door to be safe.
I've always been very sensitive to marijuana, and there's been several occasions where I thought I was going to die during a marijuana high (go ahead and laugh).
I think my sensitivity to marijuana prepared me for shrooms because I wasn't so afraid of freaking out. As I started to trip, I sat down in front of my computer and started clicking on different mp3's. Every song I picked sounded very beautiful, but I was too anxious to get to the next song, so I kept interupting songs for new songs.
There came a point where I couldn't read the titles of the MP3's anymore, so I just started clicking randomly. I ended up clicking on some classical music, and it sounded unbelievable.
I was enjoying the music, and then I turned my head to the left, and I jumped in my chair at the sight of Beethoven. I about shit my pants I was so scared, too scared to talk so I just sat there frozen. Before the trip, I didn't really know what Beethoven looked like. During the trip, I just knew it was Beethoven for some reason.
***Side note: after the trip I tried to find some pictures of Beethoven on the internet, and the pictures looked exactly the same as the Beethoven I saw during my trip.
Beethoven had his eyes closed, and he was swaying his arms like he was conducting the music which was coming out of my speakers. I was scared about what was going to happen when he opened his eyes and saw me.
I accidentally moved a little bit in my computer chair, and it squeaked. Beethoven opened his eyes and he looked pissed off, like the squeak ruined his music. As soon as he opened his eyes, I couldn't hear the music anymore.
He said to me, "Haven't you ever heard of WD-40?"
I started to laugh for awhile, and I was no longer scared. I told him that I've been meaning to spray this chair with that stuff to stop the squeaks, but I wasn't too concerned about it. I told him that I never thought it would interrupt an entire orchestra. He started to laugh too.
Beethoven was a magnificent looking man. He had flowing hair and deep, dark eyes that were almost scary.
All of a sudden, something occured to me. I started laughing and said, "Dude, aren't you deaf?"
He said to me, "I was only deaf to the world. There's no way to create honest music without being deaf to the world."
He saw my electric guitar in the corner, and he said, "May I?"
I said, "Dude, you play guitar?"
He said, "I've been known to play a little. By the way, what is a dude?"
I started to laugh and said, "A dude is a cool guy, mostly a cool friend."
He plugged into this huge amp (that I did not own), and just started jamming away to Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People and Motley Crue's Shout at the Devil, and it started to freak me out a little bit, so I pulled the plug between the guitar and the amp.
I asked him, "Why is music so gripping on someone's soul?"
He said to me, "I'm glad you asked that. Music is spiritual. Tell me, how many days did it take God to create the world?"
I said, "Well I don't really know for sure, 7 days?"
He said, "Correct. There are also 7 notes in a musical scale. There are 7 colors in a rainbow. There are 7 continents."
I said, "Wow that's amazing. Dude, did you know that I ordered those mushrooms from Pizza Hut tonight?"
He said, "No shit? I guess I shouldn't be here then huh!?!?"
We started laughing, and then he disappeared and I finished my veggie lover's.
