wonder years

it was in the fall of '98, my senior year in high school when i first tripped on mushrooms. me and a couple of buddies of mine had eaten the shrooms about an hour ago and i had yet to feel an effect. dissapointed, we drove around pondering the nights plans.
from what most people tell me, they gradually emerge into a trip. not me on that day. we were sitting at a stoplight when suddenly i could see everything. if i looked at the ground i would see every single blade of grass with amazing clarity. it was an awesome experience, not scary or weird in any way.
as the trip continued music became all important. the music would manipulate our trip in crazy ways. bob marley had me feeling like i was in the tropics, gravity kills transported me into an invinceable state. that was when we turned on the oldies station.
listening, i was reminded of that show "the wonder years" (late 60's early 70's, remember?).i could have sworn we had somehow travelled back in time. this was no hallucination. to this day im convinced that we travelled back in time. it was the most intense trip ive ever had and words cannot describe it. it just goes to show the power of music and an imagination on shrooms.
