After a legnthy wait at a mcdonalds parking lot for a friends buddy to come with our 8ths we were on our way to an appartment on staten island: myself, Rob, and Jen. We ate 'em up in Rob's one room appartment and got everything ready for our venture into manhatten late on this monday evening. By the time we stepped onto the city bus toward the ferry, we were already begining to feel the onset of a strong trip. 15 or so minutes later we were in the staten island side of the ferry terminal trying to stay away from the quicksand patches of the stone flooring. Serious patterning and swirls took over my vision and I could tell my two friends were in the same position. At this point, we all realised that we may have not been in the right spot for a good shroom trip. On the ferry, we had some really terrific views of manhatten and the statue of liberty and it was nice to be on the ouside deck with the wind and all. We decided that we had to see time square first and needed to hop in a subway up town. I really wanted to walk but they said it was too far. In the subway station there were endless people who would scare me any old day and it was amplified 100x after eating these shrooms. We were now somwhat terrified but managed to keep calm on the subway. A strange woman in a white dress with long shaggy grey hair sat across diagnaly from us. Her maroon lipstick creeped across her cheeks untill it covered almost her entire face. I have to grab a new seat in the subway because of this. I began to become extreamly anxious and couldn't wait to get off the train. i told Rob and Jen that i was getting off at this next stop coming up and to follow me. at that point, i exited the subway and blacked out. stummbling all over the place bumping into stuff, i ended up fainting almost and rob held me up. i yelled to him in the subway station "you gotta get me outa here!" he then leaned me on a garbage can and i puked. Then time stopped. about what seamed like a day but was probably about 3 second we ran up the stairs into the surface of the city. I hated being in the subways, i felt like i was in the underworld. It seamed alot safer up top. after only about 30 mins of walking around, we jumped in a cab to go back to the ferry and bailed on our plan to trip in the city. after the subway occurance, we knew nothing good would come of it. a very important lessen can be learned from this; a really strong trip can be ruined or dampered by going to NYC. wow, that night was crazy for me. a philly back at the appartment was the perfect treat to put me to sleep.
