I want to tell you all about my first experience with shrooms. This was back in the seventies, my best friend was this guy named tom, but everyone called him "thriller" (he likes to say that the song was named after him). He was in the porn business. He took me to one of his sets; there was coke and weed, which kept us happy for a while. I sat in the back and watched him do some girls, and some guys. The place was beautiful, a huge, circular water-bed, silver and light blue striped wall paper, white shag carpet, and all these orange pillows all over the place. When he was done with what seemed like his 50th scene, he came back to me and told me he likes to trip while on the set, and offered me some shrooms. I took an 8th, and after about five minutes of not feeling anything, I took another 4th, by the time my trip started I had a whole gram. First it was the lights and everything was all wavy, I thought it was just the weed but I was REALY nauseous. I was watching my friend f*ck, and then the orange pillows looked like they were having sex too, they were all heaving and moaning, and they were pissed at me for watching. So I’m flipping out because I was sure that they were going to beat the sh*t out of me, and it looked like they had teeth. One of the guys that holds the boom mike saw that I was flipping out, so he starts calming me down. For a while I was OK, but I felt like everything was REALY far away, not in physical distance, but in some spiritual realm the whole scene just became miles away, like I’m watching everything through a pin-hole, and I was so happy. The lights were making the room hot, I saw flames coming from the bulbs. Then I saw little flames on my shirt, and I was getting so hot, so I took my shirt off which didn’t help at all. the whole time the director is checking me out. No bragging I used to be really hot. I can’t really describe the rest of the evening, everything was totally blurred and I was on another planet. When I woke up the next morning, I spent a lot of time reflecting on the meaning of the spiritual space that I occupied the night before. The craziest part is that a couple of months later I saw myself in that movie, It was TOTALLY weird seeing myself getting f*cked on the big screen. I know this sounds made-up, if you don’t believe me the name of the movie is “Jugger-Nut.”
