Blind at Ani

I smoke weed everyday of the week, eat acid fairly often, and have had occasion t oeat many of the shrooms growing here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but never has something this wierd ever happened to me. Yesterday (Sunday May 3rd, 1998) i went to the New Orleans Jazz Fest (an event of 12 stages and 90,000 people a day for weeks every year). Anyway, when i arrived i bought a lemonade and proceeded to much down 7 or 8 caps of psilocybe cubensis i picked the night before. i had eaten shrooms twice already this weekend, so i didn't expect to trip that hard. An hour later i smoked a huge joint w/ my girlfriend, bringing my peak on at about 1:00 in the afternoon. i tripped a few more hours and was coming down by 4:00 when Ani Difranco came on... i watched her for about 45 minutes, fairly sober, before all of a sudden, w/o warning i got the head rush feeling you get when you stand up too fast and everyting went black. i was totally concious and could still hear the music. i tried closing my eyes and it was exactly the same as when my eyes were open. i got really dizzy and my legs starting swaying. i felt quite nauseous and starting freaking out after being knocked around by lesbians in a state of blindness. i called out my friend jason's name several times to no response. i turned around and grabbed several people's arms saying "Jason ?" over and over before he grabbed me. i told him to get me away from there and he led me thru the crowd, with me stumbling over feet everywhere. jason said i was pale and my lips were discolored. slowly, my vision came back w/ extremely distorted colors. i sat down, smoked a ciggarette and chilled out as my sight came back. the experience lasted only 5 or 6 minutes but it is something i'll never forget. in the 30 hours since i've done no drugs. i'm not quite sure what to do, but my shroom consumptions in the future will never involve me driving for sure.
