euphoric reflection
I always trip during the night, and don't get me wrong this is a great way to go, but this time I decided to try it in the early evening.
I always trip during the night, and don't get me wrong this is a great way to go, but this time I decided to try it in the early evening. I prepared and drank "the tea" at 5pm. It's summer time and so it doesn't get dark until almost 9pm. I smoked a little tobacco in my pipe (decided not to smoke any mary jane this time) and relaxed and welcomed-in the vibe with some Miles Davis, Sting, and Dianna Krall. this music may seem simple and even somewhat slow, but it brought me to a level of comfort and joy that is unmatched from what I usually listen to (ie. "Trippy" music). The depth and reason represented in this flow of great music soothed my soul. The evening sky was looking incredible so I decided to venture on a long walk to the park. I live in a rather busy city and I am usually somewhat paranoid and therefore avoid roaming where people are. but this time was so different. I felt more than confident, and I roamed everywhere, looking at the fine details of often missed trees/sidewalks/cars/houses/dogs. Everything seemed to have this wonderful feel to it, like everyone and everything was doing it's own thing and I was at peace with it all. This is a dramatic change in my usual somewhat pessimistic view of society. After an hour and a half walk I went home, lit-up the house with candles and played some more jazz while writting some interesting observations in a word file so I could read them later. I discovered that beauty is all around us, we just have to take notice because it is often simpky taken for granted. Plants were great to "trip" on given my peacefull state. Overall the effect lasted around 5 hours and left me at peace with everything and feeling blessed to have experienced this gift from mother nature.
