Experimental air pressure growing chamber !

Humidification

Hi All,

I build a new Growing Chamber what work on air pressure. I use two plastic containers and I drill a hole 5cm in it see pictures what I covered with Tyvek as filter. A large aquarium pump making air what first will blow inside a bottle of water with a little add of peroxide to stop growing contaminants. The air what is blowing in are also filtered by a large Glass fiber filter (what standard will be used for fermentation bottles in laboratories). The air has two important functions first it filters and humidifies air and pumps it into the grow chamber through the overpressure in the grow chamber, the CO2 produced by the mushrooms is pressed out.

Growing chamber with wet perlite on the bottom first sterilized with 100 C hot water and add a little peroxide.

Water bottle where the air from the pump is going in using a air vent. Also add some peroxide to prevent contamination.
On the Growing chamber itself you see a hole 5 cm what is covered with Tyvek as filter. CO2 is pressed out.

Aquarium pump 200 l/h with HEPA filter between air out from pump and air in into bottle.
On the Growing chamber itself you see a hole 5 cm what is covered with Tyvek as filter. CO2 is pressed out.

Hygrometer it show 94% Humidity
