good luck to you too. are you going to school for botany or natural science? if you are, hit me up for a business proposition. we're starting a new company regarding what we know about water purification and energy conservation with solar panels, and we already got an investor whose put in $1 million into our idea. we could use your help if you know a lot about geographical and natural sciences... sooo employment opportunity possibly? make your dreams come true! hit me up! hahahahaha.... this sounds like one of those spam mail marketing bullshit, but really, its not.

well said! I've been thinking negatively lately and you make alot of sense, thanks bro.

It's good to see people who actually read up on things and contribute their knowledge to the un-informed. 5/5

Kybish said: There's a huge thread over at www.grasscity.com all about growing MJ with LED's http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/93801-led-lights-pics.html
I'll save you the trouble and summarize the humongous thread.
Don't use LEDs for your primary grow lights Use them as supplemental lights if at all
Right now there aren't LEDs in the right spectrums easily available; it costs a fuckload to get into the desirable ranges, for mj at least, don't know if it applies to all plants.
In the coming years LED's will be huge for the growing scene, but for now, wait for NASA to work out the kinks. (they're experimenting with leds, trying to grow food out of them so they can use them on a possible trip to mars or whatnot).
Keep up the good work and you'll be an awesome ethnobotanist!
