Just try to analyze situations objectively... hence I can sympathize with that Cuban dissident who died recently in a car crash as he refused to accept any U.S. backing for his efforts due to the U.S. having no sincere desire to help the Cuban people, while fiercely opposing the U.S. backed, Batistiano terrorists based in south Florida who have been involved (along with their imperialist backers in D.C. & on Wall Street) in furthering routine and widespread torture, rape, and murders of civilian populations elsewhere in Latin America, especially Central America, like they supported (or even themselves were doing) in Cuba through much of the 50s.

It can get frustrating at times (referring to overall in society, not the Shroomery), but nothing will change if committed people don't put in the work necessary to bring about positive transformation of the world. Plus, there a lot of ppl who want change but feel powerless & lack the resources/avenues to do much on their own, which is why I stay motivated to use my skills, knowledge, & resources the best I can to help enable more & more people to make greater contributions & consumer/lifestyle decisions to make what is at present a vision, one day into a reality.

This erroneous bullshit has to stop. Contaminated cakes are thrown. Period. Stop trying to convince people otherwise or encourage this crap.
ID be pleased to see idiots like yourself stop upping your ratings in the pub or somewhere else then trying to sound off in the cultivation forums. You do not speak out of experience of proven science.
EDIT2: The science we have here is in regard of handling of substrate and cakes. Contaminated substrate is thrown out, in danger of risking contamination of ones work area and endangering future grows. I dont care how many ounces you have grown; thats not the issue. The issue is that you step off the golden path; effectively avoiding contaminations and dealing with them properly.
New growers do not earn any good practice from such attitude; as stupid discussions would arise wether or not to throw out substrate; be it cakes or bulk.
Ive had it with new threads from new growers asking stupid questions and getting even dumber answers. I never want to see "this cake has trich", "ohhh just cut it off, no problem".
Contaminated cakes, buckets full of bacteria (like the abomination the astronaut created) and so on are all garbage bin material, if you are a serious grower you know this. Its one thing experimenting, its another thing stepping down from proper handling of substrate and conducting stupid alterations to sound and ratified advice for the sake of personal taste.

Yeah, if the Trich (or a couple others) isn't too bad & especially if it's all I have going at the time, then I'll do a little surgery to correct it & still get acceptable yields (often no noticeable loss.)
If I was running a larger operation & had ample completely clean material to work with, then I'd probably toss it. But since my grows typically aren't very big, I can't really afford to throw out material that, with a little extra care, could still give me 1, 2, or even 3 oz. dry weight.

For realizing & opposing that the two "choices" in our democracy are both corporatist, imperialist war parties. Too bad it's a reflection of an apathetic and/or misinformed population... just means there's still a lot of work to do transforming it, rebuking the falsehoods among the ignorant, while trying to get the apathetic interested & educated on the circumstances, & ultimately, organized for change.
