New advanced appliance control

Hi all, Just wanted to let everyone know that I now have a site up detailing my current control project. The goal is to use any PC with a parallel port to control power to up to eight appliances, given up to eight inputs (for example, humidity and temperature).
The project is well underway, and the site also includes the old version (an advanced timer) which will control your appliance wirelessly to whatever timing specifications you have.
The site is located here. Hope it is a help to the experienced experimenter.

How do I post it permenantly on the forums? It'll stay on my domain, which I'll continue to pay for as long as I have $9.95/mo
Version 2 is actually is more expensive than I would like... Mainly because the relays are $7.99 from Radio Hovel. But I like the project, and I'm looking forward to writing some versatile software for it as well.

That still seems cheap compared to what I wanted to get to do the same thing: www.labjack.com. If I got it right you'll have 2 analog inputs and 2 digital outputs. Right?

8 analog inputs by default; 2 relays base, you can have up to a total of 8 relays. I suppose you could use the remaining two data pins to allow further multiplexing, allowing maybe 32 relays if you wanted.
It was suggested to me that I use a 4000 series counter in place of the BCD decoder. This could allow upwards of 14 relays. But I think that is crossing "extremely useful" to "extreme overkill". Then again, if you have other devices that can use a relay control (other than power for appliances), this would add to the controllability.
I'm trying to write a very dynamic software end, to allow any number of conditions to switch relays by.

Thus the 74HC164 shift reg in my new version. The BCD "could" be susceptible to noise, but wasn't in my test. Still.

Is there an update on this? It seems as if nothing's been happenin' in terms of updates, and I might just have to go buy a labjack or some PLCs soon.
