Casing layers are not really needed for almost anything if you can maintain 95% Rh or better. A casing layer is basically a micro climate. The casing layer helps hold in moisture right at the substrate level. So if you have big fluctuations in your Rh, then a casing layer is a good idea.
Because it will help maintain the Rh right at the top of the substrate. If a mono tub is done right then they maintain Rh and no casing is necessary. Same thing with trays in a green house, if the green house is running right it will maintain a high Rh level and there is no need for casings.

Ty very much, did you see the pictures of the ones next to my cell phone the cap on the big one was 4.5 inches across and it stood about 5 inches tall so it was almost as wide as it was tall.. The stem was thick not hollow as well..
I am very very happy with the way it turned out I printed a couple of the monsters and plan to set them aside for another time..

Alright folks
Totals are in for the first flush from the other tub. They are 48.7 grams and 63.2 grams Total of 111.9 grams first flush that brings my running total to
270.8 grams from both tubs on first flush from each tub..

clonings the same as spore prints right?
so if u let the shroom release all its stuff does that mean u cant go ahead and eat it? cuz by then itll be all opened and stuff and lose the potency?

no, cloning is not the same as spore prints. when u clone, ur taking the same genetics, and everything of a particular fruit. this is good if you find a desirable fruit and desirable trait that you want to isolate.
spore prints drop thousands of spores that eventually pair up and form mycelium. when u use prints or syringes ur doing multi spore inoculation which means there will be all different sorts of mycelium with different genetic make up. so ur fruits will not all be the same or same size or same potency etc as it would if you were cloning.

Getting my MSN I am already an LPN but I decided to do LPN 2 MSN then I will specialize in anesthesiology.
Also thanks for all the support everyone.
I have decided sence my tubs were pretty beat up just to trash them after the flush. I will be starting new tubs from the clones I took in a couple weeks. Also I have a texas MS tub about ready to fruit.

Modified tub top ?? Not sure what you mean. It is just a plain sterilte tub with the top it came with from the store nothing was done to the tub except the holes drilled in the side for polyfill.
