I love Sublime but this gives me an odd vibe... Not sure how I feel about this. I'll reserve my judgment to see what they do with this, but if they go on tour w/o Bradley, calling themselves Sublime and charging top dollar for it, Ill have 0 interest or respect for them...

Yeah this is retarded. LBDA is cool as they make pretty good music and are a different band. But you can't call yourself Sublime without Brad.

The new singer pulls it off well. I don't think we're in the position to judge whether it's a fucked up thing or not that they kept the name really. I'm sure they know what Bradley would think about it.

Yeah and I think it's stupid when other bands do it too. A few manage to pull it off or even get better, but I'd say they're the exception not the rule.
As others have said, Brad was Sublime. I have a great appreciation for all the members of a band (assuming they're good), but losing a singer, songwriter, and guitar player is pretty hard on a 3 piece band. He was way too integral to what Sublime was.
Besides, its been how many years since he died? Using the name Sublime at this point just seems like a cheap gimmick to put fans in the seats. I'd be just as likely to see "a band with those guys from Sublime" as I would "Sublime, but without Brad."

It is the first time that i come across a link you cant embed. And when I fixed it stopped working after a bit, wtf.
Sorry about the english skills, but as you can see English is not my mother language, and add my laziness on checking the conjugation of some verbs.
I sound funny when I speak english also cause i have an accent from the place i used to live combined from the accent I picked up here where I live now, also sound funny when I speak Italian and portuguese as well.
But hey It is better than only speaking one language.

Sublime got a lot of recognition when brad was alive. They played smaller clubs all over the southern Cali. Just as they were starting to get commercial hits and air time brad bit the dust. They were huge all around LA in the early to mid 90s, one of their shows even sparked a riot! I think brad tried to keep it small so Sublime didn't sell out. And they were/ are very talented musicians. Me as a drummer learned a lot Bud (their drummer) and they were a huge source of inspiration to me and countless outhers.
