Guys im a pretty open minded person. And I am no way someone on an Ego trip, nor am i someone who thinks way to high about himself. But there are times when i look at others and i caint help but look down on them. Tonight my grandmother took me to Hometown Buffet and Im looking around the place. Im noticing these HUGE, obese, unhealthy people stuffing their fucking faces. Im sorry but if you weigh over 300 Lbs WTF are you doing in a All you can eat buffet with greasy ass food? Im mean literaly how can they do it! If I was that fat I would probally become anorexic due to depression.
How the fuck can these people look themselves in the Mirror while washing their hands, and be comfortable knowing they are eating pure shit!?
Thoughts? Am i over reacting? Its just seriously sad to see, then they go complain about their "genetics" being the issue

Food makes them happy lol, nobody is perfect, you can't make a sound judgment of someone (well maybe a physical judgment) because of their weight.

Why are you shocked by fat people at buffet's?
How do you think you get fat to begin with....it just seems like common sense to me. I'd be more surprised to see a bunch of really fit people.

I'm the same way man; I see obese people all day long and can barely help shouting at them as they scarf their faces with a candy bar. I feel no remorse for thinking bad thoughts about them, especially when I'm at a store and a 400lb person is huffing and puffing as they waddles up to a disability cart so they can tote his or her fat ass around instead of walking.
EDIT: What really bakes my noodle is when two fatass parents pull into McDonalds for a family feast with their abnormally large 5 year old kids; it's sick, and kids shouldn't be raised off of fast food and junk.

They don't want to live that way but they are always coming up with excuses not to lose the weight or why they are fat in the first place. Just don't let others peoples problems affect you. As long as they do not have a direct influence on you there should be no need to feel however you feel. You may not understand why they would want to waste away but it's their problem.
Weight tends to be an odd thing to deal with. Here in the states people have an abundance of food and for a multitude of reasons they indulge.
Don't let it make you feel bad. We all have our vices to deal with.

True dat. It's just irritating. I used to work with this lady that would bring fast food to work EVERYDAY and whilst eating a chalupa declared that she eats healthy and she's only overweight because of water retention.

i mean i am no 400 lb hog but i am about 5'10" 220-240 lbs (varies) and i know exactly why i am this size. i am lazy, i don't eat right, but you know what, at the end of the day, my life is about me, if i want to change something i will, but who cares if fat asses are fat asses?? they aren't eating you out of house and home and you are not forced to even look at them let alone communicate with them so get the fuck over it.
and on the category of the disabled at walmart, why don't you ask them why they are disabled, if it was from them being drunk and plowing into a car with a family inside they are no more deserving of the electric buggy than the fat asses.

one of my friends thinks that every male should be "snipped" once you hit puberty and in order to have a child you and your partner (be it male or female) have to take a test on how to raise children. if you fail once you never have kids. sounds good to me ha ha.

But I like to live in a country where I have a right to abuse or neglect my own body If I want.
The parenting issue is a bigger can of worms though. I would say most parents raise their kids with their own unhealthy and self-destructive habits, because they themselves don't know how else to live. Is a fat parent raising a fat kid any worse than a low self-esteem parent raising a low self-esteem kid? To be fucked up in some way is normal, but fat people make easy targets because the consequences of their unhealthy behavior is much more visible.

It's disgusting how people let themselves go like that. It is unhealthy and sets a bad example to children. People who let their children get obese should be charged with abuse/neglect.
There is nothing "Okay" about obesity. It is a major problem in the western world that needs to be addressed. More education about healthy eating choices should be done rather than adds for mcdonalds and burger king.
Fast food restaraunts should be shut down.
Im sorry, but to me it shows lack of discipline. It's right up there with being addicted to meth or engaging in destructive sexual behaviours in my book.

Fat is fine, but there is a difference between fat and just OBESE...
Its within my right to dislike being around obese people, just as it is within the right of those people to be obese.
However it is not WITHIN their rights to fucking rip nasty obese ass... they need to get a ticket or something. I swear to god that shit is gonna give me cancer if I have to deal with it again.

The problem isn't that there is unhealthy food around, or that people don't know about healthy food, it's that people in general have tremendous difficulty avoiding temptations. Different vices for different people, that's all.
Obesity is not some isolated, acute problem that can be solved by banning something here or there. It is just one more manifestation of the world's only problem: the human condition of suffering. It has us doing all kinds of ridiculous and unhealthy things, just because it's _so_ _hard_ for people just to fucking exist. Why pick on fat people?
Everyone suffers from some degree of some kind of addiction or compulsion. This is normal, and someone else's compulsions are really of secondary concern to one's own. A quick look at your threads shows you trying and failing to quit smoking, trying to justify drinking at 10am, nodding out in a bar, and not bathing for three weeks.

I havent gotten drunk, smoked a cigarette or done any drug with the acception of pot since New Years. Im actually doing pretty good. Take a look at the date of those threads.
I was chubby in highschool and it took just as much willpower to stop eating such bad food and start exercising.
4 years ago when I quit smokeing crack, I also realized I had to change and do so.
Smokeing crack is NOT "okay" therefore I stopped. Smokeing cigarettes was not okay, so I stopped, nodding out at the bar is not okay, so guess what? Thats the last time I ate an opiate! Drinking at 10 am is not okay, I realized I had a problem so I quit!
