Don't hate the cops, hate the person. There are plenty of cops, but people only run into the jackass ones, because the chill ones don't really care, and are thus unseen and believed not to exist. Therefore we only see part of the spectrum. Even when you watch cops, you will see some nice ones.
If drugs were legal and people drove sensibly, most people probably wouldn't hate cops.
