my friends and I staged a walkout when they try to make our crew change what we were wearing. I had foot tall Liberty Spikes and we were all wearing suits with the sleeves cut out. The principal took me to the bathroom and told me I had to take it down because it was causing a distraction. He was trying to physically force me towards the sink. I spun out of his grasp and said "Fuck You!" and spit on his shoe. Asa, Danny, Desi, Nikole and Shannon, were right outside the door waiting. I started to leave. They followed me and asked me what happen exactly. I told them, and they got pissed off also. We decided fuckit, were all going to leave. on the way out a couple other people came with. It felt righteous!

The way life is, is the way life is. We can do everything within our power to try and change it, and we do. I know I have attended a vast amount of protests in my years, and I've done everything I can do get people under 18 the rights that they deserve. All I'm saying is that since it's not an idealistic world, you have to follow the rules. If you don't follow the rules, you've got to find some other way to get by. Whether that means becoming a drop out, or finding an alternative form of education is totally up to you,

i trans. to home school only needing 12th grade english to grad. that way .did my work then found out the school fucked me by withholding all my transcripts. it had alot more to it than the dreads i had been labled a possible commie terroerist in the 8th grade by the teachers in a small town . and i hate commies. they also said i owed them money for books i know i turned in

Nowadays kids whine and cry about their hair, t-shirts, and the right to look like an idiot. Kids do this because life is so easy for them, they don't really have anything to fight for.

i did a walk out in like 6th grade but nothing really happend i also refused to eat lunch till it wasnt a no talk zone that led to them telling me i was herting the lunch ladies pay,like i was that damn dumb

i was in highschool when that colombine shit hit, any one wearing a marylin manson t-shirt was rounded up and put into internal suspension the next day. my jew friend had his lawyer dad come and get us all out. it never made news or anything, but i came to school in a shirt and tie for the rest of my time in highschool.
I had a 4.0 and perfect attendance since 6th grade. but i remember that day when everyone turned on anyone wearing black or who listened to alternative music because people were afraid of what they did not understand. a few teachers stood up for us but whoever was in charge didnt give a shit.
i dont know what the moral of the story is, and i honestly got pissed as fuck when this happened, but to this day i dress like everyone else have hair like everyone else, and besides an love affair with tuxedo tshirts (i have like 5) im a bland dressing mo fo.
sorry of topic, just wanted to share thought it was relevant.

I'm only 19, so "over the years" would be a period of about... 6 years, since I started voicing my opinion and getting into the issues of the world. I've just been around enough wisdom in my life to know these things. Good call Badchad.

The ONLY reason they could EVER withold your transcripts legally (And only in some states) is if there was some kind of tuition you haven't payed yet. Otherwise, it's completely illegal. I seriously doubt they would risk that kind of legal trouble over some kids transcripts, and if they did, you should have sued the shit out of them, and THEN gotten your transcripts.

I got emancipated from my parents the day i turned 18 august 1st 1999. Two weeks later i moved to a different town, then signed up for school there. I was 18 when i signed up. I ended up getting kicked out, so i moved back home and prepared to try 12th grade again.
1 year and Two weeks later i went and signed up for my second try at 12th grade. I was 19 when i signed up, so i don't see where you had the problem.
