 Why do people hate on Radiohead so much?

I am a huge Radiohead fan yet so many people (surprisingly trippers) hate them.
I realize "Pablo Honey" is a bit commercial and they kinda went off on a weird electronica tangent on "Kid A" and "Amnesiac".
Still, Radiohead is one of my favoite bands to trip to. Eat an eigth of shrooms, throw on your ipod, and listen to "OK Computer" all the way through. Great tripping music IMO.
One of the most creative and constantly changing and evolving bands in modern rock and there is so much hate and negativity toward them.

radiohead are the beatles of our generation. it's been a pleasure to grow up listening to them. ok computer came out when i was in college and i've been hooked ever since.

Name a band that is more creative than Radiohead. I know I can spot a Radiohead tune after just a few seconds of listening to it cause they are so much different from anything else out there.
They may not be the greatest at playing their instruments but plenty of great bands are the same way. The Ramones, Sex Pistols, and Pixies were all terrible musicians, yet created some of the greatest music in the history of rock.

every one has a different ear for music. a song that can touch one persons heart can sound like shit to someone else.
then you also factor in other aspects besides the sound specificly. lyrics, political views, image of the band, even the types of people who are fans of the band.
so i'm supprised that you are actualy confused why people hate on radiohead.
I don't like their music. that's not a choice for me. I just don't like it.

you won't hear these bands on Clear Channel or MTV. they're far too creative for simple minds
