Copelandia Bispora (this mornings pics)

First flush kinda took a dump due to IMO being ill prepared for initiation resulting in thin stems and poor fruit. They all did a upside down J and never opened up fully. Picks are in the huntung forum here Thought this would be a better place to share. The second here is displaying stronger stems and healthier fruitbodies. First flush was done in a small high Co2 unit and the second done in the tent with a lot lower Co2. For your enjoyment here is the second flush. One day old fruitbodies. I am hoping these caps open up.

Beautiful pictures LIPA! The second to the last picture brings almost a human like emotional feeling to it. The large fruitbody having feminine characteristics,(the loving mother), and below her are two children. (older brother, reasuring baby brother that everything will be alright out here in the forest). Sorry if I kind of went in left field with this, but I truly LOVE these pictures.

Excellent!
Very healthy looking fruits.
Could you add an object to your next photo to give us some scale?(If not no worries)
Is this an exotic/rare strain?

Wow! impressive.
This species of Copelandia is extremely rare or at least rarely identified correctly (all Copelandia look about the same and can only be definitively separated by microscopic features). Lipa has found the only collection of this species in North America, which is amazing by itself. The growth parameters are not typical of most Copelandia as this particular collection seems to respond better to warm temperate to room temperature conditions instead of subtropical/tropical conditions. This may not be true of all Panaeolus bisporus but seems to be true for at least for this particular strain.
There are a few obscure documents of the species being cultivated before, but this is still an exciting and rare event. Well done!

Ohhh yeah, I know what you're talking about. The PDF in Chinese about growing them. Well, it doesn't lessen the brilliance of this grow.
It's curious that the Chinese would want to grow them though.

Ok! Got home late in the evening from kayaking and noticed the caps have changed to a light tan with a little orange spot on the very top of the cap. Also the gills turned to mottled. WOHOO SPORES!

Oh, so pretty! They definitely look like one of the potent Panaeolus' (or should I be saying Copelandia for clarity?), unlike P. subbalteatus.
You notice how different they look to the wild ones you found? It's interesting...

Given the species' rarity, would you mind printing these and sharing? (Not suggesting myself- I have my hands full.) I'm sure there are several people that would love to grow these and have the skill to ensure a successful grow (and therefore continuation of its propagation in N.A.).
