i never liked much rap or hip hop until i listened to Dead Prez.
i also like Kweli and Mos Def like a lot of others have mentioned.

Dead Prez are amazing. The RBG album is one of my favourite albums of all time, of any genre.

I've slowly been getting into underground hip hop over the past couple years. Finding what I really like..
While I have heard most of the artists in this thread... and I'm sure I heard them before this.. THANK YOU whoever it was for mentioning CunninLynguists... they are now one of my favorites

Those last two are really "shoot a cop, fuck a bitch" sort of albums but are musically and lyrically fucking genius so if you can get over that they're really top albums.
