A big announcement is coming on Friday in Palo Alto, California from a group claiming it's found "Bigfoot."
Two Northern California men and two Georgians say they have a body, photos and DNA evidence of the legendary forest-dwelling man-ape.
A press release from website Searchingforbigfoot.com on Tuesday, included the following information on the "Bigfoot" body:
*The creature is seven feet seven inches tall. *It weighs over five hundred pounds.
*The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.
*It is male.
*It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.
*It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot.
*The feet are flat and similar to human feet.
*Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel.
*From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide.
*The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.)
*The teeth are more human-like than ape-like.
*DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the news conference.
The release states that the creature was found by Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer (residents of Georgia) in the woods in northern Georgia. (The exact location is being kept secret to protect the creatures.)
Veteran Bigfoot tracker Tom Biscardi said he's examined the body, and that scientists will get their chance soon. Biscardi hosts a Bigfoot oriented internet radio show that can be heard on Wednesdays. The show is broadcast in over thirty countries.

Thats what Im thinking... apparently there are photos of it but I'm having a hard time finding them.
One of the guys claiming to have found it is a cop. I'm hoping he wouldn't bullshit everyone for fear of his job being on the line.

I'm much more curious about how this story will "change".
There's going to be some new "conspiracy theory" about how the government stole it, covered it up etc.

honestly I wouldn't be surprised... a species of massive ape (ostrolopithecus giganticus or something) went extinct rather recently, I could see a very small population surviving.

I think this already happened or came out a few months ago and was busted in a heart beat. If not this exact story than the same organization and people. This is apparently a scam some media group or someone is doing to try to pull in webcam viewers for like $30 a pop to see Bigfoot like they showed off King Kong.
I'm pretty up to date on Paranormal activities and I distinctly remember coming across something exactly like this a few months ago. Let me re-read the Fox News article though and do some research.
Hmm...
No digital picture from a cell phone or digicam is a huge nail in the coffin of this story. However ignoring that this story is only on two local news websites as kind of human interest joke story. None of the paranormal websites or paranormal forums are exploding like they normally would over a claim like this. And I can't seem to find much more information about any of this. It could be because of a major hoax that really damaged the credibility of the Bigfoot society a few months ago and no one wants to listen to a similar one. Or it could be these guys are two low level hoaxers who put out a press release that some local paper picked up as a joke and is now working it's way up media chain. Guaranteed no matter how shitty their story is George Noory will interview them as soon as this gets to them. I'm going to have to give this one a thumbs down for right now.
