Last weekend I rolled sack at a fest, and ended up giving random people free drugs everywhere. Blew 1500-2000 dollars in free mol, dose, beer, weed, and mush. It was worth it to see all the smiling faces. Then some ass steals 200 from me.
Then next weekend some fuck STEALS 1200 dollars from me!
Then I stay with my chick an extra night at the fest, we leave for an hour to go get chinese, and staff takes all our gear for themselves! Drank my beer, and slept in my tent! I asked them WTF when I got back, they said they thought we abandoned it....fuckin weird....
So Now I'm suer put off by fests and people in general.
I'm nothin but a nice guy and a gentleman. I barely ever charge friends for stuff, and if I do it's dirt fuckin cheap, and here karma comes and rips a hole in my wallet.
You'd think dosing 200 people would earn you some bonus points, but apparently it just fucks your income.
Sigh I dunno what I'm gonna do about money, I may have to miss the NE gathering now.

Well the dude that jacked me was dressed up like straight family too. Jerry rings and clothers. Family tattoo on his forearm. Talkin about knowin the family in california and flying out there and laying blotter and what not. Seemed like really good people and acted like one.
He told me he had the dead paper goin around, which I've tried and know is good. He sold me 4 sheets and none of it was laid. How the fuck you gonna sell fake grateful dead hits?
This wasnt lollapalooze BTW it was the dancefest with LOTUS.

That's fucking lame shit man. I've been jacked at festivals before but never for that much.. goddamn! I would be beyond pissed..
You know, I've made myself feel better by saying it's just paper, just "stuff" or whatever and in the end it doesn't matter, just chalk it up to a learning experience... but it's hard to convince yourself of that when your out that much money.
I've learned the hard way that you can't be TOO generous, because some people will just straight take advantage of you and take whatever they can.
That's fucked the guy was dressed like family too, SHADY SHIT.

not too long ago i parked my bike without a lock and went into a store knowin id have to hurry and shit cause ive had people yank bikes from me like that before. I finished up and came out where some guy was eyeballin the bike and scouting the place out. I stayed away and pretended to be on my cellphone just waiting for that fuck to try and grab it but he didnt. id love to catch a guy in the act and just ask him questions about why he thinks its ok to take other peoples shit

I've yet to have a bike stolen, but I always lock mine up properly, when I take it out. Most I've ever had stolen from me is probably a couple of 20s. Not too much, but it's never nice to lose ANYTHING.

youre absolutely right, a thief is a hard person to change. I read in abpsy that its due partly to a part of their brain that processes guilt and levels of emotional excitement and whatnot that is underdeveloped. So literally you have to change a persons brain anatomy (which can be done through constant rehabilitation) to make a change regarding these actions... sorry to get all psychology on this.
We have a freind (long time) who is like this. He just doesnt understand that it is hurtful to other people when they lose something, so hell take shit because he wants it and doesnt think it though. He was busted a long time ago for stealing shit from unlocked cars when he finally got a bait car or something. Then he lived at this house with us and didnt have money for rent so he took his roomates atm (good friend of his) and withdrew 300$. My friend saw the money was missing, went to the 711 and watched the video camera showing the other guy taking the money out. He monved to SD a while later with my ex and her bf and did the same thing with my ex's atm card for months (her parents were rich so nobody noticed the money was gone until way later).. funny thing is everyones still cool with him, hes a cool guy and still our friend/family, but we just know that you dont leave shit around him, cause hes gonna fucking steal it.

that's really a sad story. generous people DO end up getting taken advantage of by people who pretend to be friends, but hopefully the generous provider eventually learns who is using and who reciprocates ... and who straight up jacks somebody's shit.
I had a "friend" for a long time who I sold a computer to ... a really nice Alienware, btw, that I had for years. I sold it at a seriously discounted price of $500, having reformatted it clean, cleaned the case, with a flat-screen monitor, etc. and the kid never paid me back. he paid me $200 of it using his girlfriend's money, very reluctantly, after months of having it ... and at a certain point I told him to forget the rest, it was blood money at that point to have to try and procure it from him.
we continued being friends and I just let it go ... and I would always help him out with a few bucks or supply drugs for a fun time ... he never gave back and always promised he would ... even when he had money in his pocket, he never offered to hit me back even partially for anything ...
the final straw in ending the friendship came about two weeks ago, when we picked up some coke. we did a little bit at a friend's house and decided to leave. I was driving him home and wanted to do my last bump, as we each had a bump left (or so he said) so I figured I'd get mine out of the way to help the drive and then be done for the night. As an aside note, for some reason he thought it was okay to keep my coke in his pocket. He started getting fucking frazzled about me doing it and kept saying "wait until we get to my place I need to get home soon" and he was fucking unpleasant and wouldn't even LET me do my bump because he was having a panic attack and, unbeknownst to me, had secret devious plans for the coke, since he's a coke fiend. so I gave up and drove him home in a very unhappy mood, pissed off that he wouldn't let me do MY coke that I paid for, and when we got there he's like "you know what I don't even want my last bit of the coke, it's under the seat" and got out in a rush and bailed.
so I get home and look, and, voila! no coke. anywhere. he straight sheisted ALL of the coke that was left so he could ease his own comedown at his house. fucking dumbass coke fiend didn't realize that about 30 minutes after the coke was used up in his system, he would be coming down and losing a friend. I dealt with a shitty comedown but I got over it, knowing that I didn't have to feel bad about anything I did and that this was nothing more than a wake-up call that some people don't deserve my friendship.
he tried to call me a few days after, maybe having hopes that I got over it, and I didn't pick up. he texted me on my birthday, too, still not having admitted to or apologizing for his sincerely offensive action, or saying he'll ever hit me back for EVERYTHING I've given him ... which now is upwards of a grand ... not including gas money for picking him up from cities away to hang out and always driving him back ... that dumbass loser had it coming. he's lost the kind of friend he'll probably never have again. I'm never allowing him in my life again, and it's sad, because his girlfriend was always a pleasure to have around, and always helped me out when she could. he's just a straight-up user, and loser, and uses his girlfriend, too. apparently this is how he treats everybody. gotta feel bad for that guy.

I used to smoke people out all the time loan people money in hundreds give them money and much other shit than my own damn friends would use me or steal shit, now I don't do shit for people being nice just got me used and walked all over, now I'm an ass most the time.

I got robbed at the Rainbow Gathering which you think would be all love and peace and good vibes. I was spun for 2 days and hadnt been at my tent and during the 4th of july prayer for peace nonetheless, someone robbed it. They stole my wallet, a collection of about 600+ dollars worth of gems and minerals, my 8 year old dsotm tye dye, my 6 year old hat, 2 books and all my holistic/natural medicines and entheogens(kratom, dagga, hbwr, spores, cacti seeds, etc).
Then the people I got a ride there with decide to leave with another bag of my stuff in their car(this one containing all my clothes, some herb and gem identification books and a few blankets, nothing TOO valuable).
When I was in Denver I slept in this guy's RV with his road dog and the guy who owned it was in jail. He got out of jail and took off without telling us and one of my bags was left in there with my glass piece, a sacred mirror, a huge chunk of malachite, hash, opium, E, doses, a large expensive knife, etc; DMT, a few hundred dollars worth of stuff.
Then I left my backpack at these people's house I stayed at; since I thought they were cool and it turned out they were all junkies so that shit was gone too.
I got back to Indiana with nothing; not even an ID and I still havent gotten my ID back since my SSC and passport was in there too and all I have left is a birth certificate and voter registration.
Sometimes you lose everything, but somethimes you gain everything. Energies fluctuate.

the one phish show i went to, they didn't allow bags into the venue. so there was this huge pile of snow from bulldozing the parking lot, alot of people including myself had the wise idea of burying their bookbags in the snow for the duration of the show.
when we came out, there was a hole bunch of keys laying on top of the snow.
someone unburried and took all the bags, but went through them and took out the keys...
i had like 2 years of journals in mine when i lost it, not to mention money and shit. i was one of those idiots who carry everything important to them in their bag at the time.

its simple tho you cant trust strangers. Don't leave yourself open. No point in getting mad at you but damn! Don't you rememeber school. I remember I lost my wallet and the money was stripped and that shit is gone... And recently my subs getting jacked in my car... You have to look at the obvious. No matter how bugged brain you are.
