There are some massive ant colonies on my property. Tiny mothers, but fields of black when they all come pourin' out their hold (typically after I water and their caves no doubt get flooded). While I'm not big on murdering hundreds of thousands of ants, I just can't stand it when they get inside and act like they own the place.
Here's a macro shot of one of their evacuation procedures in progress after I watered the potted plant they had been gestating in.

Yeah I don't give a shit about ants, but in all probability if you try it on ants youll probably move up to dogs, cats, and birds.
Anyway the entire thing sounds stupid, trying to get ants high is something that I would expect to see in Beavis and Butthead.
Yes, getting ants high is a gateway to getting the higher-lifeforms stoned. First it's ants, then birds and cats, then narwhals and so on.
Aye,, it's a slippery slope.
Someone bought me a farm similar to that last Christmas but they left out the ants,, i still haven't found any for it yet.
I feel too old to be digging around under rocks looking for bugs, so i end up taking a quick look in a few spots then i'll give up before the neighbors start thinking i've gone mad.
Either that or they may start seriously considering the idea that i might actually, really have nothing better to do.
I don't know which is worse,,  .
I think they're cool though,, i'm looking forward to staring at them in some altered states.

the point of buying ant's is so you can get a queen ant, i think the op will find that the ant's will die off farely quickly without one
