The fact that this was a gay kid trying to meet another gay kid makes it even worse on the police's behalf! I know gay is still a little taboo everywhere, but if any of you have been in northern NH, its not taboo, its not acceptable! These small town people have their minds closed tighter than a virgin's asshole! In a place where everybody knows everybody, somneone being gay is beyond their mindset. I lived in Gorham, NH for like 5 months and of the few gay people I worked with only one was "out". And the only reason he was openly gay was the fact that he went off to college in another state where he felt safe being gay! The police were basically targeting a gay minor! If he had told them he was 17 thats where the conversation should have ended!

I googled the consent laws for Arkansas:
(a) The definition of an offense that excludes conduct with a spouse shall not be construed to preclude accomplice liability of a spouse.
(b) When the criminality of conduct depends on a child's being below the age of fourteen (14) years and the actor is twenty (20) years of age or older, it is no defense that the actor did not know the age of the child or reasonably believed the child to be fourteen (14) years of age or older.
