Lol true.  And I have another question.  Is fluoride in the toothpaste and water as damaging as some scientists are saying and is baking soda a good alternative since it's without fluoride?

Hey and is there a way to find out if fluoride is in your water system by putting in your zipcode?

Fluoride is a very harmful neuro toxin, it effects the brain most specifically in a vast number of ways, also very harmful to the kidneys and bones mostly. It is associated with a long list of diseases. Also contrary to popular belief, it does nothing to prevent cavities. It is actually bad for your teeth, and your bones.

http://www.fluoridation.com/brain.htm
http://www.lovethetruth.com/truth_about_fluoride.htm

A good homemade toothpaste is baking soda, with a tiny bit of salt, and a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide (don't add too much peroxide or it will bleach your gums for a while), so yes baking soda is an effective toothpaste. Really.. toothpaste isn't all that needed.. the act of brushing alone removes most of the plaque and whatnot.

Also, in the old days.. people used to chew on roots, and rough twigs from certain trees that contained cleansing oils in them. That had about the same effect of brushing the teeth, and was where teeth brushing originated.

Hitler gave fluoridated water to the prisoner's of war in WWII.
We've been medicating the world's drinking water and toothpaste ever since.

Quote:

"At the end of the Second World War, the United States Government sent Charles Eliot Perkins, a research worker in chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology, to take charge of the vast Farben chemical plants in Germany.

"While there he was told by German chemists of a scheme which had been worked out by them during the war and adopted by the German General Staff.

"This was to control the population in any given area through mass medication of drinking water. In this scheme, sodium fluoride occupied a prominent place.

"Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual's power to resist domination by slowly poisoning and narcotizing a certain area of the brain and will thus make him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him. "Both the Germans and the Russians added sodium fluoride to the drinking water of prisoners of war to make them stupid and docile."

I'm personally convinced that people's teeth so get bad now BECAUSE people started cleaning their teeth.

It's like your skin, if you use moisturizer and keep your skin covered and wash it a lot, your skin will be weaker than if you are constantly doing activities where the toughness of your skin becomes a factor. (An example anyone who's ever wrestled will understand is your knees).

I think if our teeth were left alone, they'd find a way to get tough and survive, but we're slowly pussifying ourselves for "comfort" in any way possible.

the flouride is a waste byproduct from aluminum manufacturing i believe but don't quote me on that. people used to use roots to brush their teeth. i still see people using licorice roots for brushing. had a mushroom trip long ago where i could see fractal brand name logos of the various companies that were involved with the processing and treating of the water i was drinking. it was like my brain was just translating the water to me in a different language than one of our normal senses. hundreds of companies were involved and it scared the shit out of me. i wonder why they don't want us to use the psychadelics? that was corvallis oregon city water. i drink filtered spring water now thankfully. having said all of that, i got flouride treatments and drank flouidated water when i was a kid and i've never had a cavity.

Would smoking crack be classified as a "toughener"? lol.
cmon dude, it has baking soda in it.

Anyway, people in the stone age didn't live anywhere near as long as we do now so they're teeth didn't have to last as long.

Also, it's worth mentioning... before the invention of processed foods, preservatives, etc.. people ate a whole lot healthier.. more natural, whole foods. Foods found in nature. The average diet of today is filled with all sorts of unnatural and processed shit, that plays a big part. Diet is everything.

They used chewed roots and wood ash to brush their teeth with.

A major factor in tooth care is diet. I follow an all meat and fat diet (with a few veggies here and there) and my teeth are perfectly fine. I NEVER get bad breath, nor accumulate much plaque but I still brush them twice a day.

The only time I have bad breath is when I wake up the morning after a carb-load that contained man made foods. Hmmmmmm....

I thought fluoride was present in mcg. amounts like LSD. Which means in the 2-5 minutes of your brushing teeth it could get easily absorbed theoretically.
