its funny, because that is exactly why i DO spend a bit of time in front of the mirror on most of my trips. this video does a decent job of capturing what one could see in the mirror during a trip... well, as good as it could i guess. actually, it doesnt come close. but pretty close...
i love mirrors when im tripping.

I love the mirror tripping too. The video is a good start, but usually after a minute of two I end up with pieces of my face flying out into the multidimensional mind machine, though often the EYES remain.

anyone who discourages mirror looking is just afraid of what they might see. i embrace that fear. and i dare it sometimes, to throw its best at me. sometimes it does, and i freak out... but you know what?
standing in front of the mirror while tripping has often been the place where i truely learn something about myself. as scary as i may be, i am who i am. there comes a time where one must accept this fact. fear no mirror!

I think our brain must filter out the fucked up feedback loop that occurs when we look into the mirror.
Unless we're tripping.
It must be the most illogical thing for our mind to attempt to process, aside from death.

as far as what you mean, that IS life, is it not? we can/will contemplate it till our death... but how much of our life will we be missing during such contemplation? i try not to think too much, as it often gets me in trouble and leaves me with an aching head. running on impulse has serves me much greater, in the short term anyway. the way i see it, thats all we got.

mirrors are fun.
I stare into my own eyes to make myself trip when sober.
works pretty good.
your own face is so burned into your identity...it's nice when your connection to it dissolves and 'you' begin to look strange to you.

Fine, look in the mirror--your face contorts. You giggle. Kind of a lame video, though, when you consider why this person spent the time to put it together. That's the gayest part. Followed by an instructional video on how to smoke weed out of a pop can.

i've looked in the mirror several times during tripping because i sometimes check my pupils. then my reflection kind of hypnotizes me. i've seen myself decay like a zombie, i've seen my facial details float in different directions and i've seen bones and vines grow rapidly on my facial features. nothing too scary though.

Tripping each time is putting you on trial. You have to pass the test of self-acceptance. If you haven't the mirror will reflect this.
You're not having a truly "good trip" if you shun the mirror. You don't have to like gazing in a mirror while tripping, but you should be able to without the trip going sour.
You can test if you worked through all negativity by gazing in the mirror. This goes for sobriety too. Many people cant look in a mirror sober without thinking stuff like "hey ugly" and other things that are telltale for lack of self acceptance.
I had this too for years, until I took MDMA, grabbed a mirror and gazed, gazed, gazed in empathy until I made peace with my mirror image. Ever since, I like my face, and I occasionally use a look in the mirror to verify how I'm feeling.
You don't have to look like a moviestar to make peace with your looks. The decision of self-acceptance is yours to make.

The only time I ever saw something in the mirror it was fuckin' scary. I was in a bed and the sheets looked like it was part of my body so I appeared extremely fat and disgusting, also my face was a dogs head.
Not the nicest thing to see.

I love looking in the mirror when I'm tripping, especially staring into my eyes until you no longer see your face or anything else. You just get lost in some weird area.

usually, on my way to take a leak, my mirrored self catches my eye in passing. depending on the mood of the trip at the time, i may laugh, i may cry, i may get scared and run away. in any case, i usually end up forgetting i have to pee and spend some time in front of the mirror. once done with the mirror, i leave the bathroom and pee outside.

There is lots to be learned by just looking in the mirror while tripping but what you learn varies on too many things. I personally love it and accept whatever happens with open arms. Plus you can really tell how hard your tripping when you just see the bigger picture in the mirror. I understand how some get freaked out but that's easy enough to correct. My two cents... Peace.

i kinda avoid it cuz i feel weird gawkin at myself now, jus a head nod and a tooth check is all i go to it for and maybe a "damn id fuck that" look on my face
but even tho i wasnt trippin visually jus imagining myself lookin in the mirror and finding myself in another world would hands down drive my loony/suck
i dont play with myself anymore(lol) as far as CEVs before bed and 'talkin to myself'
