i'm not sure how quoting that helps in your argument. the point i was making is that they have had a solid, undeniable fan-base for several years now, making them firmly established and unlikely to be forgotten in a mere matter of months.

i think the video i posted says it all though, about the fans and the band. listen to the solo. listen carefully. there is nothing tasteful, technical, emotional, or anything about it. it's just bad bad playing. and yet, the crowd cheers him like it's some amazing thing.

and there's nothing wrong with "middle way" bands. not all music you listen to has to blow everything else out of the water, damn!

because your bashing seems pretty unnecessary. if you don't like them, don't listen to them. it's pretty simple.
i've heard multiple live shows and seen them twice at fests, and have nothing against them. i agree they aren't an amazing standout band, but i don't think they deserve you smearing them

I've never heard (of) them before, but wow. That clip was terrible. I don't play guitar and I could do a better solo than that.

i'm not going to try to tell you guys who to like and who to dislike, however, i am going to say don't judge the band off of that one terrible solo. they're better than that. they're WAYYYY better than that. they haven't received as much critical acclaim as they have for no reason.

here's a link to a .rar i uploaded with four of their albums (A series of sneaks, kill the moonlight, gimme fiction, and ga ga ga ga ga). if you really want to judge them, take the couple of minutes to dload it, listen to some of it, then delete it afterwards if you like, knowing full well you've made a fair and informed judgment of the band rather than basing your whole opinion on one especially bad clip.
