No one forces anyone to go into OTD. Simple as that. If you folks don't like the content, then you don't have to read it. That's your prerogative.
This "racism" people talk about, well I just don't see that. Sometimes people call each other racist terms, but when one white guy calls another white guy a racial slur associated with another race, where exactly is the racism? Words only have that much power because people give them that much power.
The scat, however, I could do without. There are a few sick fucks who seem to think that its okay to share their nasty fetishes with the rest of us. Personally I'd rather not see that crap *pun intended* and I end up just scrolling past it. It really kills a good thread when someone posts pictures of people eating shit in it, and I'm sure that's the intented effect... But ffs, there must be something seriously wrong with you to even reference pictures like that as a joke. I can't see why anyone would voluntarily seek that out, even just to inflict it on someone else, unless they were shit-eaters themselves.

Start a poll in OTD about what they really think about black people. There will be some reasonable and some funny responses and some pretty unpleasant testimonials. You can then say to yourself that they're kidding, but some of them really are not. They are racists who don't like black people for whatever racist reason they may have.
Some blunt posts are made by people who really hold pretty blunt beliefs. It isn't all tongue in cheek.

OTD is like the toilet of the forum. It's nasty, but if it wasn't there, there'd be crap all over the floor. If you like it, go there and have fun. If not, stay out. I don't think it impacts any other sections on here.

The majority of OTD dislikes overt racists and for them its just a game, but for some among them its serious. Some of them simply are haters who are drawn to OTD because it allows them to vent hate without consequences. Very few, but they are there, just like common sense predicts.
