But you can't cure those with multivitamins therefore you will still have the need for heart transplants and new joints.

1. You can have perfect health with vitamins

2. You can have bad health from genetics.

You can have a genetic disorder take vitamins and be in poor health so your statements are contradictory

All i can say is that one need to eat healthy, and live healthy. Ancestry does play a very large role but its one that you cannot change.

If you pick up the ball make sure to pass it on, you cant blame your great great grandparents for not realizing proper nutrion. Move on and take it from there.

Junkfood, tell me you are arguing that eating healthy changes your genetic composition?
Please tell me that?

Geez, did I ever say everyone had an equal opportunity? Obviously person A might not benefit to the same degree from proper nutrition as person B.

Not yours: What I'm saying is that if you start eating healthy and every one of your descendants start eating healthy, that will change your family-to-be's genetic composition.

The benefits of nutrition aren't passed down genetically. Teaching someone to eat well to improve well being is.

I'm not saying not to take vitamins, but to say they are the cure for tons of illness, diseases, maladies is just foolish.

Nope that is incorrect. Acquired characteristics are not passed down.

Its sad that this is true, and not just in health, but in residency and education. (not public schools, but even they are effected by the moola)

Who gives a fuck about that, if it's not gonna change my genetic make up then it's a waste of time.

getting proper nutrition doesn't necessarily have to cost you your crazy :crazy2: lifestyle. A desire to indulge in alcohol or toxic drugs like meth, on the other hand? That's another story.

Well if you have osteoporosis and need calcium it's better to take it and help yourself then let your bones get brittle. It has benefits but not to the extent that it will cure the illness just ease it or help you fight it naturally.

It won't change your descendants' either.

In order to change your descendants' dna, you'd have to change yours first, which is not possible of course and now I laugh.

hhaahahahaha

I really think the health of your parents has an effect on you. One thing's for sure: the health of your mother while your in the womb has an effect on you.

But you can also get too much of certain things from vitamins and that can hurt you. Your parents making themselves healthy will not directly benefit you though.

vitamins lol. an ounce of prevention if worth a pound of cure.

and to those who say vitamins can't cure heart transplant tottally missed the point. maybe your heart would be fine if you didnt suck down cheese, cow hide, ranch dressing, butter, cola, chips, followed by ice cream, milk shakes, floats, and licorice for desert. after words you sit down in a comfy chair after your meal and light up an after dinner smoke.

any vitamins in that regimen?

Whether or not vitamins can hurt you in certain quantities has no basis in this thread. What are you trying to say by that? I'm saying people should get proper nutrition. What are you saying? That people should "err on the side of caution" not intake inadequate amounts of vitamins?

I think you're missing the point. Yes, they get that those kind of things result in heart problems, but if you went to the hospital I bet you'd be surprised at how many people there with heart problems live a perfectly normal lifestyle. That's what doctor's are for.
