is been 8 years since i began my search with psilocybes in jalisco state, at firts it was like a myth in the biological scene the existence of psilocybes ,but some of us persist and believe there is something out there waiting , even that guzman have find some like 4 species in the 98´s ,i mean four apart of the usual and easy to find cubensis, mexicana,copelandias, paneolus,my relation with mushrooms , begann in those days to increase until sometingh happed ,my life change, mushrooms change me in many ways i was not the same anymore , it was like sometingh i was waiting all my life , i guees someone that love mushrooms will understand , the desire,the need, the urge, the conecction with psilocybe , became a drean,,sometime i have show villarealis to another friend in natural habitad and even a few meters i can fell the presence the powers , when i see then have no doubt,is sometingh very special that many people fell , then i see a psatreya and few metter can say is a psatreya this is not ego is a fact you became more atachh to the mushrooms , since those day it became my obsecion to study mushrooms of all kind specially psylocybe this also let me to love all nature , and learn and learn and learn , never stop learning and i know i don´t know nottingh, is so much to learn but i ,love to learn,so i´m open to all knoleghe,i consider my life so atachh to mushrooms that if i separete then,they can no longer exist.and consider my journey in a spiritual way an thanks all god and all spirits that are helpeng me in my life in special at the spirit of the forest and the mushrooms thanks with alll my heart
the size of this mushrooms is of the cap is 12 cm or 5 inch the diamenteer of the stem (thick) is almost 1 in, the stem have many scales as laurae but can be as large as 25 cm or 10 inch , yeah 10 inch long ,also the size of the cap, the stem,differ from laurae is almost alike , but diferrent also in the smell this time a fragant farinacius smell no the strong smell of laurae and villareallii, but what intrigue me more is that i found 3 old villareallii, like in my other location villarealli-laurae,
sorry for not posting the habitad pictured yet but my friend camara. maybe tomorrow, but i was so excited to share this find that like to post this firts,
besides this one of the more expedition where this mushrooms grow. we leave many pin to grow old and i will be there in few days .

Let me get this right cactu, the 12 cm, 5 in cap you hold in your hand is a psilocybe but not villarealli or laurae?

hello, thank you all, yeah this is either a new specie or a new find for me , what i mean is this is not villarealli, not laurae not even close to the location of this 2 grow toghether, this is someting else judging for his apearence the massive fruit body,the big cap, the long stem,the smell,the bluing reaction almost black instanstly, the way the grow ,their shape,the color, the striate lines in the cap, the long seudorrisa that grow deep in the soil,they grow in cluster fo more that 50 yeah more that 50 you will se pictures,i´m not afraid to say maybe 70 or more in a cluster is increible, what i have been thinkin is this is zapotecorum or a new specie in the cordipora secction ,another mushrooms that have been found before are ps. caurulences wish i don´t seem too alike villarealli is more alike to caurulences that this , also ps. galindii and ps. jaliscana this 2 in the mexicanae section and don´t think mushrooms in that section are this big and have this look,maybe is in the secction coordispora, or zapotecorun aztecorum forget, by the caracteristics, but of course only microscopical study can say for sure, also is a new location for villareallii i found 3 big old ones and 1 small, in the ground sounrroundet for the monster of this new ones also in the river ,as the laurae by the river , and in the ground close by,the ´picture of the site will tell a lot but maybe are not to good due to xtreme frenessi and joy,well doctor guzman will tell the results but will take some time and until then all my knoleghe is what tell me this is a new one ,this mountains have been check before and no record is found of any psilocybe , i made a comment in a few post that last year i was looking for a extrange psylocibe that one friend found and show me after 6 month the dry specimen and the pictures , he only found 2 clusters of like 20 mushrooms , so i new it was in those mountains so last year i made 1 or 2 visit to the place in vail, no luck, this year been raining a lot this few days and the felling and urge to go there was inmese also the hope never dyes,and i part with 2 more friends this is the result when i found the patch i fall in the ground someting was calling me , then in the others side of the river they were 3 meters away from me and to get then in have to go in the water the was no other way , when i though life could not get any better we beging foundin thounsands ,pin form,adult, old and decay ones,, so i took the old ones and left all pin and inmature, all this mushrooms take long time to developed ,and i found in the ground close by the river many more in mountruse forms and 4 villarealli 3 old and almost decayin and 1 small,, this mushrooms are amazing..all my best. wait my picture i already exhaust my upload limit too bad ,

Wow. I want to move for a time to Mexico so badly. Maybe Xalapa, Maybe Oaxaca. I would also love to learn more about the Wixárika first hand, though I understand that this is not necessarily an easy matter. Cactu, I hope you are able to learn a lot more about this wonderful mushroom collection and keep us posted.

Those could definately be Psilocybe zapotecorum, your description fits.

hello here more pictures , you should leave in mexico my friend SCleROTiUM_LICK , but if you like to know more about ours huichols brothers well is jalisco or nayarit where you should be , the indians are the most increible person ,also thanks nushrooms ,i need that. inski my friend we all have a place in the world to take care .don´t you think ,i wish the same luck to you ,and i will give you lot of work workman ..
hope someone can see the numbers is said 10 inch ,the long of the stem,they are a little dry now so when fresh they were more long. pseudorriza is present when grow in dense groups.
here you can se the color of the cap of the last mushrooms and a cluster of more than 50 in the back
another cluster of 86 mushrooms , oh yeah
another cluster can see the color of the cap so variable
look the stem how whithis , full of scales,m or flakes,and how the cap contract when they dry like bell shape form.
they smell so good not like villarealli or laurae
here is a example of how this stem are there is also some dirt there
here is the pseudorriza unfortunaly i broke it but was long
and was more noticiable in the cluster of more that 40 like that
there where also this bellshapes in the wall of the river
they have many forms but this bell shapes make me think

my opinion.
i hunt weilii in georgia but after a few years i have noticed the only place it grows is sodd, grass, mostly north of atlanta ga, usa.
SLowely its spreading and taking on more woodland areas.
I reaserching all the psilocybe mushrooms and came accross a rare psilocybe but i can not remember the name. but after a few hours searcing for the few pictures i could gather it was 100% weilii look alike. same wavy cap, people told me it has a distinct celery smell, same print... so it came from mexico.
i wonder if you found this rare species that looked like what us georgians call weilii. are they the same?
does weilii originate in mexico.
regardless i paintshoped some of my shrooms that reminded me of yours, and please before you blow this post off, look up weilii on here (plenty of pictures) and compare your finds to all the shapes and sizes of ps. weilii. then get back to me, im pretty curious.
