Cool, thanks! We still had some code left in there from when mods got notifications by e-mail, wtf. Should be fixed now though.

my preferences say no, but i still get emails every time i get a pm.

I think its the site but when viewing your post your sig is messed up and is flashing incorrectly but is fixed when i click on it

seems to have worked, thx Ythan.
as for the flashing boobs, yeah, it does it on my home PC too, but not on my work PC, i assumed it was something to do with my monitor. try forwarding the pic to yourself and accessing it from another screen - you can see boobies wobbling, it's lovely and relaxing

Hmmm... nothing has changed as far as I can tell, you're still set to not receive e-mail notifications and I sent you a test PM which didn't cause an e-mail to be sent. Any pattern to the e-mail you're receiving? Are you sure it's triggered by new PMs?

not that i'm aware of. every week i update and run adaware, spybot and avgantivirus, in case thse may have an impact. i don't routinely do any other PC maintenance.
for what it's worth, i never got the test PM, but i have a flashing message alert that refers to no new pms, i was wondering about that - linked, perhaps?

Er... that doesn't really answer my question.  If you're receiving e-mails that you shouldn't be, that's a problem on our end. I'm curious about the content of the e-mails so I can figure out which script is sending them.

it seems to be only the notifications of a message having been read. also, that annoying bug is back that tells me i have pms waiting, but ehen i look there's none unread.
