a life sentance IS 25 years. its the same thing, only life makes it seem hardcore. which is why you can have life with parole, which is what this family will probably have although they will most likely appeal and get it taken down from malice murder to a manslaughter charge, or neglect, manslaughter would be a better charge for them as it is a less heinous crime and they can get time served, so if the apeal took 3 years that might be all they serve.
where as the mother who violently slaughtered her children will most likely not be released until her 25 year term is up and thats only if she dosent die in jail.

I'm not making any arguments for Veganism itself. I was simply making the argument that these people were not practicing as Vegans in their treatment of their baby. That is the extent of my interest in this thread.

in a sane world, we would round up all vegans and eat them.
we are alpha preditors. if some of our species want to slide down the food chain and join the rabbits, they can join them in stew.

one that comes to mind involved a pet savanah monitor lizard that was allowed to starve until it looked like this

i am a talented abstract thinker.
and I'm completely stumped as to how someone can accidentally starve a child.
I stayed up night after night for months feeding my daughter every 2 hours through a tube, mixing formulas, drugs, and regulating ratios in order to compensate for growth patterns and potassium/hydration levels. when I wasn't actively parenting, I was sterilizing medical equipment.
tube feeding is a careful, intensive activity, it involves monitoring of stomach sounds, exact measuring, sterilization, and a whole lot of sitting with an armload of delicate equipment. The only thing that could have interfered with it would be me being stupid or lazy, and i don't consider that do be a guiltless excuse.
the idea that anyone could accidental allow a child to starve to death is repulsive to me.
there are no accidents with children, only negligence with parents. some negligence is forgivable. but anything that results in situation illness, starvation or death is not.
people who support these parents, I dunno. they are ignorant, that much is incontestable. probably some critical problem with their reasoning too. shows that some people just shouldn't be trusted with important matters at all.

I'll say this: animals aren't efficient in providing nutrients, since their tertiary consumers. But, if you want to go so far as to deny an infant with milk from its MOTHER, then that's stupid. How do you justify that?

I don't think not breastfeeding the baby had anything to do with their veganism, because breastfeeding isn't anti-vegan in any way, shape, or form.

It wasn't the vegan diet that killed the baby, it was the moron parents who UNDER FED it. Veganism is not at fault here, it's the parents.
I don't understand why so many people have something against vegetarians or vegans. It's a healthy life style. Sorry if you don't agree with my/thier choice of not consuming other sentient beings... but seriously, grow the fuck up.

That baby lost more than half his body weight. In the video the father looks as if he weighs about 150 lbs (68kgs) they should give him an occasional spoonful of soy and juice until his weight is down to about 75 or so and then tell him they're feeding him so well because they love him like a prince. These people are so full of shit. They didn't feed their baby because they're selfish fucking cunts who wanted to spend their money on other things, probably weed or other drugs.
