i mean i know they lost Smythe, but thats a poor excuse...
the wild cut them to shit again tonight, and will probably do the same on thursday.
looks like vancouver is going to hold onto #1 our division, so the wild will likely be facing the Wings or the Ducks in the 1st round of playoffs.
i fear both teams. i hate the ducks, i love the wings.

They also lost Pronger.
Look at the defending champs, they wont even get a chance to defend this year. After the new rules and caps hockey has got much more interesting.

and who got Pronger? The fucking Ducks...
So we lost our first playoff game to them, but fucking barely.
In the Western division quarterfinals ive got the Canucks beating the Stars in 6 or more, the Wings sweeping the Flames, and i bet San Jose will hold out against Nashville.
goddamn they are all so close though.
as for Wild/Ducks....shit...to early to tell. Talk about evenly matched teams...

they are now beating my beloved Wild 3-0 in the series...and i wont put money on the wild digging out
oh well, its been a fucking amazing season. broke damn near every franchise record, and next season looks to be even better

My interest in the playoffs just dropped. My two favorite teams (Minnesota and Pittsburg) were two of the first three eliminated.

That was cheap(not too hard of a hit though), but not nearly as brutal as alot of the stuff these playoffs.

yea they lost all steam in the playoffs, excepting game 4, which was an awesome sight behold.
but in the end, the wild still got mercilessly beaten by fucking water fowl.

They put him in with about 5 minutes left in game #5.
Soon as I heard the wild were up against Anaheim I knew it was game over and didn't hesitate 1 seconds to pick Anaheim in my hockey pool. Far better team in every way.

i thought the rangers beating the mortal shit out of the thrashers was cool as hell, but the sabres really fucking deserve it this year, and ive got nothing against them.
as for the anaheim/vancouver series, my only hope is that both teams beat on each so fucking badly that they all go to jail on assault charges and get raped in prison by a huge aryan tamed "tiny"
