Yeah seriously, what don't you like about it? It has all the same functionality. If you don't give any suggestions you're just talking shit.
And BTW this wasn't just a cosmetic change for the fuck of it... the old rating script was virtually unmaintainable, so I wrote a new one which I'd actually be able to work on in the future. Sorry for the bugs but I didn't get a chance to test it as thoroughly as I wanted this morning. Everything should be working properly now, please let me know if you notice more problems.

If you're continuing to have problems with the rating script, please provide as many details as possible.
1) The exact error message you receive
2) What you're doing when you receive the error. For instance, it's of limited use to know that a problem occurs when you "edit a rating"... do you get the error right when you click the 'edit' link, or only after you modify the text and click 'Submit'? Is it only for specific users, or all users?
Fixing the bug is usually easy, it's finding it which can be hard. I've looked over the code and I can't figure out what would be causing this problem so any additional information would be helpful.

Fucking awesome, you were able to make all of the smileys available! 
I tested it out by leaving you a much over-due rating. Quick question - were we previously able to review a total amount of ratings from a particular user's rating page? It still displays when you hover over their shrooms underneath their username, but I can't remember if we were able to see that from the page itself or not.

Hey thanks... I was actually aware of this problem and I tried several workarounds, but none of them turned out well. I had kind of abandoned it as 'unfixable' and moved on to other stuff, but your post got me to take a second look. This time the solution seemed obvious, and it should now be fixed. I appreciate the reminder!

Also, when i go to the page showing all the ratings i left, and then edit one of my ratings, after i hit submit, it takes me to the ratings of the person i just edited.

The time of the ratings in Mtn time (or at least slow by two hours) instead of the time the b board adjusts too, or whatever the process is.
I just left a rating, and it says 1:00am, and its 3:00am.

Who cares who the top ten rated people are? I didn't even know that feature existed in the old ratings script until you guys started complaining about its absence. A person with ten one-shroom ratings would show up ahead of a person with one five-shroom rating. What does it tell you? Jack shit, that's what.

Why have post counts then? Or apply the same thoughts to your folding stats, why have team ranks and user ranks, why have a shroomery team period?
Why list the number of users viewing a forum, why list the total number of threads? Why count minutes in an hour or hours in a day? Why bother counting anything?
I'm not the only one who likes to see numerical records regarding who has the most posts, the most ratings or who has been reged the longest.
You asked who cared, well I care and i'm sure others in or pushing that top ten liked to keep track of the figures. Humans like counting stuff, it's why we have ten fingers.

The rating shroom images are still off centered or look weird on the old school shroomery and royal red style sheets when using IE6 - not sure about firefox.

im not "talking shit". i was just giving my worthless opinion on it. i clearly stated that no disrespect was intended to the creator of it.
probably just didnt like it at first because its different. having all of the ratings on the same page was cool so you could just scroll through them all. now it looks like a thread. ill get used to it.
only suggestion that i can come up with is that i think it would be better without the avatars in there. there is no need for them in there. it just makes things load slower. more ratings per page would be better imo also. without avatars in it, there would be more room for more ratings on each page.

I didn't mean to offend, I'm always interested in opinions. But I call it "talking shit" because you're complaining about something without giving the reason why you don't like it, or what you would do to change it. What am I supposed to do with that information?
Anyway, displaying all the ratings on one page was becoming untenable. Some users have many hundreds of ratings and it was getting to be a big clusterfuck. However, there is a "show all" link you can use if you want to emulate the old behavior. In addition, the number of ratings per page is grabbed directly from your user settings. So if you want more ratings, go to your display preferences and up the number of "posts to show on one page when viewing a post in flat mode".
Same thing with avatars. If you have them disabled in your profile, they won't show up. Otherwise, most of them should be cached already from viewing them with posts. And I do think there's a reason for having them - you can tell at a glance who left you ratings instead of having to read through each username. But again, if you don't want them, they can be turned off. I dunno what else I can do, all your complaints are already configurable options.

Yeah that's not a bad idea... the problem is, we haven't kept a history of all the name changes. We could track down a limited number through the ratings left under varying names, but it wouldn't catch all (most?) of them. What might make more sense is to just log all the name changes from this point forward. But sometimes a person changes their name for privacy reasons and in those cases they probably wouldn't want the association made public. So we'd have to do some "stealth" name changes and leave holes in the record. But I suppose it's probably better than nothing...
