Typically these will keep for some time providing they are not exposed to dry heat and allowed to dry out. I have seen them keep as long as a year but 3 or 6 months is more realistic in most cases. I have even heard of some people freezing them.

Charging 2 dollars for what cost you 10 cents and maybe takes a couple a seconds to add to your bags is messed up.
You guys obviously don't care about your customers as much as the all mighty dollar.

Sure, everyone likes to get a deal. I like to shop at the local dollar store myself, but that doesn’t mean I don’t go to the higher priced store to get the things one can’t get for a dollar. If something I use goes on sale I try to get it then if I can. Not everyone likes to go to Starbucks and fork out several bucks for a cup of Joe, but many do and think it is great. BMW vs. Chevy: which is the better deal? Chevy perhaps. Which has better performance? The BMW does of course. Both will get you from “a” to “b” but one will do it in a way the other can not.
I don’t want to get in to a huge discussion here but I will tell you there is more than you think in a MycoBag™. This is a formulated product that has the ability to produce more than a plain bag of grain can. There is more to making this product than you think. Things have to be done in a certain order, a certain way and within a limited time frame for them to turn out correctly. It is certainly a manufacturing process. I am not going to outline my balance sheet for you or tell you what goes in our formulas; I will tell you the cost of making our MycoBag™ is significant. Cost of materials, labor, energy, facilities as well as equipment all adds up. Good help (labor) is hard to find. I do not hire illegal aliens to do cheep labor for us. LOL
Seriously, often one gets what they pay for. This is a scientifically formulated product that has been tested and proven to provide great results, and we did the work for you so you don’t have to do all the testing we did to come up with a product that has the ability to perform. It took a lot of time and trial and error and yes even evaluation by 3rd and 4th parties to arrive with just the right formula.
On top of that every MycoBag™ has a built in injector port to aid in ease of use.

I'm not trying to be an ass you know, stirring up old things or anything. But you say that your bags are better than just a bag of grain? From personal experience, i'd have to object to that. I purchased a single bag from you guys quite a while ago. Was very clean with everything I did. VERY clean. It didn't even START to colonize until a few weeks and all of the colonization was trich from what I could see. I tried to contact you guys for a replacement and no reply. So I pretty much gave it up as a loss. I went out and made my own. And well..I had no problems with them whatsoever. Maybe you guys were having problems, i'm not sure. I was pretty pissed off that I didn't even get a response or replacement. Not trying to cut you guys down or anything.I know how business can be..Just being honest.
*EDIT* I live in NC too by the way. Not too far from you. Probably about 20 minutes or so.

While I do not recall seeing a email from you, we do try to address problems that a customer brings to our attention. We can not control what substances are introduced in our products so we can not guarantee what happens after that. We do guarantee our products to arrive free of contamination or they will be replaced.

It was at least 6 months ago. I can assure you it was nothing that was introduced. Every precautionary measure was taken, including a flowhood. There is no doubt in my mind that it was a bad bag. The same exact conditions were used with another bag that I made and had no problems. I don't see a whole lot of complaints, so i'm not questioning your integrity. I know shit happens. Maybe I just have bad luck.

I know that occasionally we do have to replace a few bags and I do my best to ensure any problems are addressed in some way or another. Our reported contamination rates are very low, almost none but yes it does happen. We take great care in our sterilization procedures and we inspect every bag before it gets shipped out. Just the same bags can rupture or even burst in transit and there can even be a problem with the plastic bag itself. Like you said stuff happens.
I am sorry your experience was not as positive as it should have been. Next time please email me at info@mycofactory.com and if no response is received write me again. Honestly I try not to miss any emails. I do use a spam filter and only glance over those as sooooo many come in.

Mycofactory is a wonderful vendor with EXCELLENT prices. To handle business on the level that they do, they have to spend lots of $$$ every month. They do it, like all Shroomery Sponsors, for the love of mycology and the community around it.
The Myco-Home-Gro Niche is not the industry to be in if you are "all about the money". Why bother manufacturing anything when you could just re-sell Wifi cards or vitamins on eBay, and make upwards of 5 - 10k a month, just packing and mailing envelopes?
In our experience as consumers, before we became a sponsor ourselves, Mycofactory has always provided exceptional service, innovative products/recipes, and GREAT prices for the quality.

I was selling unlocked phones part time but just to make a few extra $

By leaving a post here its more then just saying you dont like their new and improved kit, your trying to steer people away from buying it and you have no right to do that. Ive priced making my own bags. Its not like you can make your own bags for a buck or two. Its a decent deal 3 for the price of 2.
