I had a salt bagel from jew york, the salt was overbearing, I had to scrape it off.
I do the same thing with pretzels, the residual saltiness is perfect, though.
Bagels from New York are orgasmic, I've only had them once, when my neighbors were visiting family up there and brought'em down.

All commercially made jerky kinda sucks. I suppose it's better than nothing, but I wouldn't waste the money on it after making my own.

I still say Jack Links is the best commercial brand. It's got the perfect sweet/salty taste to it.
