Its been said but prisons are an industry nowadays. Legalizing not only takes away jobs but more importantly is basically an admittance that the government was wrong/lying to the people for the last 55+ yrs, the latter reflecting the truth more clearly. The government has been conditioning/prejudicing people (take your pick of terms) against drug users for quite some time now with no end in sight.

It's all about money. If you have money for a good attorney, chances are you will not do any jail time or you might just walk outright. The court will be pleased that you spent a couple of grand on one of thier friends and you will get a pretty sweet deal, or walk.
If you don't have the money you will not even make bond to begin with and will have to sit until your trial date and settle with a P.D.
Money walks and evrything else just sits and wait.

Its called the Government WHORE HOUSE!
They found a way to make "much needed" money on it. If they were to stop they would have to take a pay cut, and noone wants a pay cut only pay raises.
DARE takes the inocent and makes them go oooo what is this... making a few of the group go right into the system a few years down the road.
There are dangerus drugs and their are drugs. Heroin and barbituates are bad mmk. Pot and a few others drugs never killed people, just stupid people kill people.
