I used to always use my right, it felt the most comfortable. Then when I got a computer I had to use the mouse, so my right was occupied. So for a while it was hard, but now I use my left exclusively.
I don't think I'll ever go back.

To be honest, pretty much anyone that only uses one hand is going to be massively, massively slower than someone's who's learned to do it properly.
Occasionally I'll see one of my friends doing it one-handed, and I'll be like, "Why don't you use both hands man?" and he'll just say that he never bothered to learn properly, and that it's too much bother to learn properly.
But in this day and age, it makes sense to learn how to use both. You'll save time in the long run

What the hell is going on in this thread?
why is everyone being so weird?
I know some people think it's a bit sad, and you might be labelled a bit of a "nerd", but come on, if you're going to be on the internet a lot, you need to learn to use both hands so you can be quick and efficient. Do you really want to sit there whacking away with one hand for hours and hours?
Plus, there's health concerns. A lot of people these days report things like Carpal Tunnel Syndrom and Repetitive Strain Injury if you don't take the time to learn to do it properly.
If it's something you do a lot, invest the time to learn how to do it efficiently. I know some people who don't ever even look, just sit there happily using both hands, it can be dark, hell, they can even do it why their eyes closed, and they can go for hours without getting uncomfortable
I'm not that good yet, but I'm getting better
hell, the shroomery makes me improve, I get most of my practise posting here

I'm right handed and mostly use my right hand. However I smoke with my left. Probably due to holding a pipe with my left hand and lighting it with my right for years it just caught on with cigarettes also.
edit: If we are talking about typing I use both hands simultaneously, always have. Took a lot of keyboarding classes throughout HS, also data entry classes, I'm actually MOUS certified in MS Word. Right now I'm using my right hand + thumb, pointer, and pinky on my left. Burned the fuck out of my middle and ring finger on my left hand but I'm still typing alright without them.
