I've got a 6/c 4 station press in my garage... by night I work for a printing company (offset) and by day, I print for myself. I enjoy it so far, too... only been at it a year or so.

thats a pretty nice setup. I've never really enjoyed the offset part too much, but then again ive only worked on 2 old single color sheetfeeds and one 4 color sheetfed. The single color ones werent too bad If I was doing 1 or 2 spot colors. But I absolutely hated doing CYMK jobs on the single color's, it was always a bear making sure that everything was registered properly, not to mention cleaning the press and changing inks. Lengthy ass process, and i was glad when we stopped doind 4 color runs until we got that old four color.
A couple years ago I got into plotting vinyl, always liked that myself. I'll be happy with the new job, going to be doing more pre-press procedures, and working electronically instead of w/presses.

It gets cramped in there with that press and a conveyor dryer but I wanted to go all the way. I do my own trapping and positives too.
Yeah, offset pretty much sucks. I manage the bindery- used to run presses, the bindery is a lot less headaches (less money too though).
