if you only take .25 at a time with a total of .5 a day... then youll never get addicted... its until you get into doing a couple bars a day when your addicted...

Thank you. These have helped my life so much. I believe I shall purchase some chronic and take a break and smoke that for the shakes and anxiety once in a while.

exercise REALLY helped me get through anxiety. i suggest trying that over drugs, not saying u shouldnt pop some goodies every once in a while though

Yes, the doctor told me to work out as well, I've been lifting weights again. I already feel more in tone just by working out for a week.
I also completely cut out soda out of my diet and have cut my food consumption by 1/3, this was done slowly.
I went from 220 (I was getting big!) to now 187 in just 2 months. This should help w/ the anxiety as well and well... looking how our society deems fit is always nice.

I've heard that benzos really put a damper on hallucinogens.
Its not dangerous to mix them, but definiately wont be as potent a trip.
so if you plan on eating some mushies i give the xaneys a rest for a few days prior.

i usually actually TRY to have a xanax or two on hand during a trip (shrooms or acid) just in case i start flipping out in my mind and the trip turns sour.. but then again, i usually try to have a xanax on hand anyway, just as a "comfort blanket."
and my friends all swear by drinking and taking benzo's, but they usually don't over-do it. 2mg xanax and a six-pack is enough to erase your memory for a good 6 hour span.. i don't really like it, but some do. your liver probably isn't going to die if you take a couple xanax and drink, but it's by no means a good idea at all. it's terrible for you. i know a kid that's prescribed 4mg a day (i know, outrageous), and he drinks on a regular basis. and he drinks to oblivion (not hard to do on benzos)..
my funniest xanax/drinking story was coming home and trying to get in my bed, finding my roommate sleeping there, trying to get in with her, then trying to kick her out because i wasn't comfortable, and then rolling off the bed, landing on a full wendy's cup (inevitably smashing it), and sleeping in a sitting position. covered in soda. i didn't remember any of this until i was told how it went down.

xanex is good to pull you out of a bad trip if it going that sour.
taking it prior to tripping isnt an issue, though it may just make you "zombificated".
xanex IS the devil.
as far as xanex and booze goes, ive mixed them quite often back in my hay day, though i did have a scare or two with myself and friends passing out and breathing slowing waaaay down.
i would never mix pills and alcohol again.
EXCEPT opiates and perhaps ONE beer. i dont mind that.
my rule of thumb is that every beer you drink effectivly doubles the amount of pills youve taken.
you take three pills, drink one beer, its like six in your system and so fourth.
so be careful.

I wouldn't take DXM with xanax, alprazolam and DXM are both metabolised by cytochrome CYP2D6, that could lead to pretty elevated plasma levels of DXM, which wouldn't be much fun at all.

I ran into the same problem, couldn't turn down bottles of 100 (.5mg) xanax, it eventually caught up with me and I fucked up. Learnd my lesson.

xanax to me = Extremely relaxed, makes me want to sleep, drowsy, and i seam to have horrible memory of the time i was on xanax.

Here's my $.02
I'm not currently on any meds. I usually take a .25 mg xanax when I eat mushrooms. I find that it helps with the comeup and doesn't really detract from the experience.
I also take about .5mg when I'm coming down. I've always had a horrible time coming down anyway, so .5 mg puts me to sleep in 30 minutes.
And xanex can be horribly addictive. I would try to get off of them if at all possible, and only use when necessary.
