Hey she was able to take her daughters boyfriend away, altho I have no idea what her daughter looks like but you have to give alittle credit to her for that(lol). I can just picture that program.
To days guest RR and RK are here to demostrate another use for my closet. They claim that with thier teks that you can get unblievable yields for your mushrooms, they also brought RK sister HC to prove this method as well(lol) I would watch it. I think if you did it with edibles she would probly jump on it guys. GJ

These probably arent in the abbreviation section obviously, but they should go somewhere?

The names of the mushrooms themselves -

Azures= Psilocybe Azurescens

Copes = Copelandia Cyanescens

Cyans = Panaeolus Cyanescens

GT's  = "Gold Tops" - typical American slang for Psilocybe cubensis, OR when used in an Australian/New Zealand context normally refers to Psilocybe Subaeruginosa OR Golden Teacher a Psilocybe Cubensis Strain

Libs  =Liberty Caps, Psilocybe Semilanceata

Pans  = Panaeolus Cyanescens

Subbs = Psilocybe Subbalteatus

Subs  = Psilocybe Subaeruginosa (often confused with subbs

OH - and Psilocybe Subaeruginosa should really be added to the spell checker lol. :grin:

I say no, only because its so beneficial for a new person to do his/her research on the subject, and if your doing enough of it you should already know the lingo. I'm a month in, but I read constantly about the subject, and unless im in the advanced forum i dont really have any problems communicating at all.

It's hard to research something for which there is no reference. Sure, you could spend years learning the meanings of the 92 abvs and acronyms by seeing one every few posts and then spending time searching and finding them in other posts, and hoping that in one of them it is explained. Or you could just look in this handy list and find it. You might even learn something useful by browsing the list.

Many scholars spent their lives trying to learn and understand dead languages until they found the Rosetta stone. I think it will also let people be more free to use the acronyms knowing that people can easily look them up. It will also save people from having to ask.

Anyway, it's pretty much finished. I'll move it to advanced then over to the FAQ submission forum.

Good post Feelers. I wanted to avoid strain names just so the list wouldn't be impossibly long and there is already a list of those, but species names are a great addition.

azures = Psilocybe azurescens
copes = Copelandia cyanescens
cyans = Panaeolus cyanescens
libs = Liberty Caps, Psilocybe semilanceata
pans = Panaeolus cyanescens
subbs = Psilocybe subbalteatus
subs = Psilocybe subaeruginosa (often confused with subbs)

Any more?

I know... I just tried to get everything that's in use here. I tried to skip all the super common internet ones like "LOL", but quite a few of those type slipped in.

I think I'll split the list up...

Agreed, I think the real 'teki' terms, even including shroomery.org influenced ones should be the main focus;

but adding the others doesn't really seem to matter heh.

Ah I was going to suggest 'piss' but I see you have it under 'mycopiss', great great.

There... I split it up. I think that's an improvement, since a lot of people probably want to learn the OMC terms rather than the internet ones. Now they won't be slowed down reading through those.

I was pretty amazed when I started on this list how fast it grew. I never suspected that there were quite so many in common usage here.
