damn! these links arent working for me at all and soulseek dont realy work for me. my configurations or watever dont allow me to download from people with real good stuff. ive checked out a way to like "mask" my ip or whatever...i dont know someone told me i have a firewall and well bottomline is i dont know much about computers so its a lost cause for me to use soulseek till i get someone over here or i get my lazy ass to figure out how to fix it. it seems so technical. if anyone would maybe be down for helpin me through it cause the online guides seem to be vague, well not easily understandable for me anyway.

"So really, ordinary reality is a kind of chemical habit, sanctioned by culture, which says it's okay to use certain drugs, eat certain foods, and have certain sexual behaviors. However, when you transcend all this pre-conditioning by returning to the original wisdom of the animal body, then you discover this immense dimension of opportunity. For some people, it is a frightening risk. To me, that's the psychedelic experience."

-------------------- Psilocybin is 4-phosphoryloxy-NN-dimethyltryptamine. It is the only 4-phosphorylated indole on this planet. That's strange because the way biology works is if you have a molecule useful in a biological system, then in other biological systems you will get that same molecule or tiny variants; methylated or o-methylated.It did not evolve from the main, broad internal linkflow of animal and plant internal linkevolution. And if you do that, this 4-phosphorylated indole is sticking up there like a sore thumb. What's the explanation for this?

Hi everybody!
I've recently received a few PMs concerning the lack of connectivity with the FTP server, and I can only say it's my fault since I'm not very good at this and sometimes I have to take it down for maintenance. Sorry for the inconveniences
I would also like to announce that I'm closing the FTP from today until July's 22th. I'm going on a much needed vacation and I can't get anybody to take care of the server. But don't worry, I'll get it back as soon as I can, you can rest assured. This project is very important for me personally, and hopefully is helping the community move faster towards a better future.
I hope this doesn't cause too much trouble and would also like to thank again everybody who has taken the time to help our endeavor, specially Learyfan. You rock man!!
Also, thanks to Cervantes who posted this here for all to enjoy!! This thread is full of good links, I'll have to d/w some of these things and add it to the library when I come back
I'll be still coming on a daily basis to the forums, I just can't get enough of you guys
So, later, I'll post again from the beautiful canary islands!!!

Thanks, I'm trying! The plain trip has been one of those experiences you wouldn't forget I thought I was gonna die. Anyway, thanks for the kind words my friend
"In short, he [Don quixote] became so absorbed in his books that he spent his nights from sunset to sunrise, and his days from dawn to dark, poring over them; and what with little sleep and much reading his brains got so dry that he lost his wits."

For those people who were searching for 'Turn on, Tune in, Drop out' I suggest going to torrentspy.com and searching for Leary. You'll need the Bittorrent client first. I've also successfully downloaded a video of 'How to Operate Your Brain' - which is weird enough to freak you out even without drugs. This might tide some of you over until the Culture Library comes back online next week.

Is this server still up? I can't connect to it (ftp://80.36.127.152/), as if it were down. It's on port 21, right? Is there a DNS name for it rather than the IP? If you have a dynamic IP address it may have changed. Maybe something like no-ip.com's free services might be useful to you if that's the case.

I...I. I'm speechless. Wow. I just listened to "You can be anyone this time around". Jesus, I am just a little stoned and I feel like I just shifted my paradigm processor up two gears.
...
I have access to tons of old computers and could easily put together a server to mirror this collection, but the only fast internet I have access to is at work and I don't think a public school would appreciate me hosting this particular collection on their connection.
So, if I were to do it clandestine-like, and I got caught, what would be the legal implications? If the majority is not copyrighted, it wouldn't be illegal that way. The point being, I don't care about being fired for it, but I do care about serving jail time.

I can't access the ftp, I've tried using firefox and IE.
Do I need to use an ftp client or something?
Edit: It seems to be working, though it takes 5 minutes to even process anything I click on, including folders.

Don't forget Bearshare, you might be pleasantly surprised, check for books and videos.
Soulseek caused my pc to freeze up 3 seperate times, and my pc has not froze up in over 4 months..what's with that? still under design I assume. There were about 12 people sharing when I visited a few days ago at soulseek.
Check this out too: http://scribbles.spiritplants.org/
The NBC Dateline special covering Ecstasy, the Hive, and Stike himself is an interesting watch, among many others.
koppie, nice link you gave earlier, impressive rare audio collection.
