When the american media hypes "genocide in sudan", I read "we're thinking about that oil in sudan". One might ask why then haven't we invaded sudan and reaped the benefit? The answer is China. China owns 40% of sudan's oil fields, provides economic aid to the ruling party, as well as training and equipping "official" sudanese soldiers. Make no mistake, there is no genocide in sudan, just oil and one gigantic orgy of a war awaiting us when the same people who brought us the war in Iraq finally want to kickup the stakes and confront china.
Yes funny that even 'Osama bin Who?' used to hang out in Sudan all the time with his Al Qaeda buddies and do his terrorist thing.....yet Al Qaeda and Iraq got the link despite no evidence of collaboration. I wonder why?
Sudan? Where's that? Iraq!Iraq!Iraq!

I suspect you are right on your assertion that Al Queda was in Sudan at some point. However Al Queda isn't a 15,000 soldier fleet sweeping the deserts. Al Queda actually didn't even have a name until U.S. prosecuters gave it the name it currently holds in order to further evidence that convicted Osama Bin Laden as a leader of a criminal organization. It is a fairly small group of people. So i doubt the Sudanese government even knew of their presence most of the time. Osama essentialy funds acts and doesn't really even formulate plans. He and Zawahari just set the basis for Islamists movement which use terrorism. Osama funds the ones he chooses. This wasn't really a retort, just an insight on circumstances and how they affect the situation at hand. Just my opinion, not a fact.

"With the Sudanese regime acting as intermediary, Bin Ladin himself met with senior Iraqi intelligence officer in Khartoum in late 1994 or early 1995." - 9-11 Commission

Didn't the 9-11 commision also provide evidence of WMD's? Is their any proof beyond their word?
With this knowledge... as it seems that we are finding out a lot of old info that was never acted on... odd how no steps were taken back then... even though Al Quada (Osama) had already engaged in actions that would make him a terrorist.
