It might be the questioning of Shroomery authority that got him banned (again).
This is no democracy.

Definitely not a democracy, but bans should at least have a good reason behind them.

okay, slag me for a bit in an argument about free speech. it doesn't work. but this is also a discussion for S&P forum.
nobody gets banned without knowing that what they just wrote, in public or in private to shroomery staff, was pushing just a little too far.
i respect his intelligence, but he needs to come back without his teeth bared and a viper tongue. if he plays nice, he can stay. he's been put on the naughty step for 8 hours.

He was simply addressing things people had said about him during his ban. What rule was he breaking? This is some straight-up bullshit.

man if he really cared about this place he would just drop it.
Methinks he is more interested in sowing discord then contributing again.
Mealsothinks he sounds a little like Larry Groznic ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Groznic ) with all this arguing over internet bannings and stuff.

If the mods continue banning people(him in particular) for such arbitrary reasons, then we have an ongoing problem here, and thus dropping it would not be sufficient.

Wow this is such bullshit. If I knew getting someone banned was as easy as sucking the right epeens...
People, mods, admins, grow the fuck up mkay? I hope you all do realize that several of YOU have made direct, personal insults and attacks against Swami. Give it a fuckin rest, don't make me feel like I should dig them up -- I read fast and am not working right now. UHoh. Exactly what is the procedure for a mod breaking forum rules? More than once? Now, would that be a warning, a ban, a removal of their mod-ship?
I don't think I've posted in S&P but for two threads since Swami got the axe. Too many thin-skinned people who I'm afraid would take a dispute I have with their beliefs as a personal attack and go cry to some mod, stroke their cock and get me booted off.
Wait, what did I just say? That this debacle has resulted in an atmosphere in which I fear to post my opinion and questions? An atmosphere in which I believe I may be banned for not being supportive of the beliefs of others though I may see large errors and problems with them?
balls to that. have fun in your circle jerk.

Wow, what bullshit. The mods are getting worse and worse, they don't like Swami addressing what was said so they just ban him, still without any reason. It's obvious that their issue with Swami is not any violation of the rules, they're just afraid to be questioned so banish anyone who does ask questions.
Why is it the authority figures always seem those that are least able to govern?

Amen, brother. I too seriously worry about posting my opinions, lest some oversensitive crybaby should get me banned for disagreeing with them. This atmosphere of fear and paranoia is causing me to seriously consider leaving this site. At the very least, it's definitely made S&P less hospitable.

It's made the whole site less hospitable. Swami wasn't flaming, he wasn't even being rude or breaking rules, they just want him to stop talking about important issues that they want to go away. The admins and mods seem to just be closing their eyes and hitting everyone with the ban stick who they can hear talking about what's in front of them.

despite anything ive previously said, this is totally unjust.
im not afraid to post my own oppinions because fortuantly my oppinions seem to fall within the accepted attitudes range, without even trying, swami just got a shit deal, his personality is not tolerated here.
its unfair, its sad.
oh well.
its an internet forum. he can come back under a different name. or he can leave.
again, im not saying he SHOULD have to, in an ideal world, but lets all remember just for one minuite how incredibly petty and trifling this whole melodramatic affair really is.
i got banned once, for a reason i thought was totally bullshit. but you dont get to argue. best to get over it.
