Those bills are not ALSO backed by Democrats. They are exclusively backed by Democrats. There is not one Republican on the list of sponsors and Bush has said he is not in support of it. Hate Bush all you want but skip the misinformation campaign. And stop worrying, it aint gonna happen anyway.

Also was implied to mean another point is that they are backed by democrats. Not that also means more than just democrats backed it.

The reason I don't think it will pass is because it is so much harder to justify war deaths of young men forced to fight rather than volunteers. The reaction to war losses would be multiplied of what it is now.
