2 days in front of a fan, then 2 more in a sealed tub with desiccant (calcium chloride from hardware shops) makes them cracker dry - so they snap and don't bend.
they're in the desiccator tub now. i'll definitely post a dry weight, as i am proud of my work. i'm guessing maybe 30g? if i'm lucky, further flushes will increase the total harvest by 50% or so.

Must be nice to have your casings work. I just did four cases for the first time ever using Hawks 50/50 TEK and they all fucking failed  . It's been over a month and not a damn thing. Let it be known that I will NEVER case again  . I'm sticking to cakes, atleast I know I'll get some shrooms out of it and not 3 months (yes it actually took my filter-patch bags 2 months to fully colonize at 85 deg F) of wasting my time and money. The shroom gods are dipleased  .

well like you said it was your first time.....I would not give up on casings...you'll never get as much outta cakes......maybe try a straw log since you don't case them

my first try i did creeper casings and every single one worked and flushed nicely...i got almost 2 dry ounces off 7 or 8 jars
but now my second grow is fucking up majorly cus the WBS is being a bitch and not colonizing, plus my heater broke after 3 days of use

first flush dry weight 53g  ....second flush now coming through.
only a couple of fruits on tub 1, but a respectable 15 on tub 2. will post pics tomorrow (or later if i can be arsed. accidentally breathed in as i walked past a VW camper van earlier, and feel a little 'tired' ). take a look at some random pic instead.

the third flush was nothing to write home about, and i need the terrarium space, so i'm jacking this project in.
1st flush - 53g dry
2nd flush - 14g dry
3rd flush - about 3g dry (one 30g fruit and a few small ones only)
