My neighbor says he doesn't like the taste and the way his stomach feels, and he's more of an "LSD kind of guy". He just prefers other psychedelics then that.
My other neighbor to the left, won't take any psychedlics, BUT dmt. Go figure. People are weird

Didn't Coaster have a monthly/yearly drug schedule? There'd be like ketamine month, where he'd take it every 3 days to keep tolerance in check. Then after a month or so, switch off to another drug.
Dude was on a whole notha level.

I have taken some long breaks from psychedelics use after I had a few annoying trips. Not bad trips like anything horrible, but just sort of "uh, oh, now I'm high again, this is ridiculous, why am I wasting my time with this crap.."
After this a few year passed where I didn't care about tripping. Then I wanted psychedelics/shrooms badly again..
Happened like this a few times so far. Who knows if one day I will not be wanting to take mushrooms or other psychedelics again at all?
This planet is full of pleasureable things to do..  - there is no need of _any_ drug to have fun, really.
I should say however that I do believe i will take psychedelics until I die, even if I lose most of my interest in them. That's because I think it's very useful to at least trip maybe once every year or every 2-3 years, just to get that cosmic 'limbo' consciousness perspective on everything. It's like a stretching exercise for the mind or something like that.

I have not taken mushrooms in a year or 2, I will most likely be back eventually but right now my life is too busy and disorganized to truly enjoy an amazing psychedelic adventure

I think it's pretty ignorant to ask such a broad question and already have an answer in mind. There's innumerable reasons why someone would stop doing shrooms, ranging from HPPD or PTSD to nausea or just a few bad experiences. Availability can always be an issue too. It's also completely unfair to compare meth use to mushrooms, meth is extremely habit forming while mushrooms are quite the opposite.

I started growing my shrooms years ago, because i couldn't find lucy anymore. Found them very different, better in some ways, worse in other ways.
Now i do drugs only occasionally, mostly oral dmt, 2-3 times a year, because i felt they have done some damage to me, and sober i feel better.
Sometimes shrooms kicked my ass. Sure they made me see my life with different eyes. But it isn't something i would use everyday. If i have to be honest, the tought i had to slow down considerably my drug use came under the influence of shrooms.

I did stop once for ten years. Had issues come up in the trips that I had to work out before I could go back to tripping. So yeah, there's a reason - having issues.
