I know of one personal experience about an hour ago. My friends mastiff walked up to me turned around and plopped it's ass on my pants, slid down then triumphantly sat next to me leaving a brown streak upon my thigh. 
So to answer your question yes and I'm living proof.

Personally I think that if we were to eat the natural diet humans are built for, we wouldnt need to wipe.
Know those magic shits where you upload two pounds and yet theres nothing to wipe? I think thats how it should be, and that sticky, clogging shit is a result of a western diet.

my momma kitty can be caught sometimes scooching her ass across the rug. she hates the taste of poop but likes a clean ass. she probably saw me wiping one day and thought it was brilliant. another one of my cats has learned that i'll wipe his ass for him. he also hates the taste of poop.
