Everyone will have their own interpretation if the message is not clear. That is a problem with Christianity and all the sects. That's why I have made my decision and more comfortable with it. I stated that Arabic is a very specific language, they have atleast 10 words for love- for the different type, and severity. Which is why its open to mistranslation, but its actually very very clear. You won't accept that simple concept, will you?
Like the myth of 72 virgins, no where does it say virgins or the number 72- but it does state in Jannah you will be accompanied by "houri" which means pure beings, basically angel, man or woman. Of course there's going to be pure beings in heaven. Technically I guess that could mean virgin, but I've never seen a translation that actually said virgin. I don't know where people come up with it.
I really don't care how old you are, but as far as I see it, you've insulted me constantly while accusing me of insulting you.
Am I crazy? Sure. I'm a barefoot hippie from the Appalachian mountains, I'd be crazy just being a mushroom grower and enthusiast only or by just being a Muslim in the US only. This is pretty much America. You are inside this bubble the Government has you in. They could put anything in a headline people will believe it. But If you tell them the Government just has plans of depopulation, and a new world order, absolute corruption, no one will believe you. World domination is a cliche concept right? They make it that way. Buuttttt I don't know, I'm not used to this new hi-tech world, and everyone and turning into a techno dick and dubstepper eating mushrooms, not knowing how to really harness and utilize their power. It's why its illegal here, because it makes you realize shit and Government doesn't want that. When people ask if I hate America because I'm muslim, That is absolutely a no. I love the IDEA of America, and what it used to be. What America has become.. I just don't know anymore.. We aren't so free anymore. You are a prime example. Your old enough to know better.

Why are you so sure your interpretation is the right one? Isn't it kind of egotistical to assume that you are smarter than ALL the millions of people who went before you and interpreted it their way?

I am not smarter, I am no better. I love my community in which way of life takes place- because we dont really disagree about anything. It's not a case of we have one church over here preaching love, and then there Westboro baptist saying God hates Fags and that other church are fag enablers.. I am Muslim, and I can say I accept all people for who they are, but if they start to cause a problem in my life- i simply don't have to associate with them simple as that. I was never taught or told to kill a non-believer. Jews and Christians are considered in the Quran "People of the book" and considered believers too. Because the books all say the same thing. The europeans fucked that up for us.
I dont think my "religion" is better than anyone elses, its simply what I believe could be better for them and positively change that individuals attitude of life, and be happy.. It is as if I see you eating a big cheeseburger and fries, and encourage you to eat healthier. I am not saying my vegetables and fruits taste better, but better for you and will benefit you- rather than the nasty foods overtime that eat away at your health. Well, when you go re-defining that's their fault, and conforming that religion to suit them, and that's not how it should be. And again- I dont know what to say about Christianity because through and through yes there is many flaws, I chose what I did because of the clarity and respect of science I found within my "religion". I grew up christian, Vaca bible school, everything you can think of, and Yes, I am well aware of the flaws- or rather the twisting of words- and overall editing within the Holy Book that the religion is based open where whole books were taken out, or put it. But I do believe in Jesus as a prophet and a man, I believe he could have had a wife and children and wasn't this absolutely perfect being they editted him to be, was just a good simple man.

If rotten.com (or even "better" the site i linked to) is not sociology and psychology, i dont know what is.
Also, i didnt try to make fun of this sad story (i tend to think as you just did "what if someone i loved was that 6 year old"), however i posted a link for icelander (and everyone else) to see pictures/videos about this or similar happenings (did i send you to the index page?). But point of fact, I have two English translations and one Spanish translation. I've read through most of all three. My copies are dog-eared and full of notes. Each of those quotes I provided align with my three translations.
I rarely speak of things I know nothing about. That's why I rarely have commentary on economics or politics and often on religion and science.

Which would be the general universal modern quran (you're right if you only base your post on this), i too have read parts from this (however, your quotes are taken out of context therefor i dont see how you could have read it apart from watching Anti-Islam videos on youtube).
Anyway, it would not be logical if the original quran (religion of peace) supported or defended violence against fellow human beings. Human beings with "bad" intentions tweaking and re-writing are the reason you believe Islam/religion in itself is this bad. And yes, you could say modern muslims are ignorant, brainwashed and whatnot (something i would not deny), but do not blame the origin.
