Due to droughts last year I was only able to grow a couple kale plants over the winter, but in the early spring I grew three hugelkultur beds full of radishes and daikon. Two of those beds are now being used for tomatoes, bush beans, and basil. The other has various types of peppers, and will also be used for okra.
A bed of five potato plants with cilantro, garlic and onions.
One with carrots and beets, which should have some malabar spinach growing nearby very soon.
I recently built another hugel bed, planted with corn, zucchini, and amaranth, and behind that a row of sunflowers.
My compost pile from last year sprouted four or five pumpkin vines, which are now up to about 10 feet long.
In addition to the fig, peach, and mexican plum trees, blackberry, asparagus, and other perennials.
And I've got a couple of shiitake logs going too

We have a container veggie garden with tomatoes, collards, bell peppers, eggplants, red onions, bananas, basil, marjoram, rosemary, and catnip. We even have a pineapple that should be ripe in a few weeks, aloe, and a small cinnamon tree! Here in South Florida we start the seeds right after Halloween and have been eating tomatoes since January. We also have pitcher plants, a rose bush, and an endangered tree called Lignum Vitae that only grows in the Florida Keys and Cuba.
Container gardning is a challenge because we have to water everyday, sometimes twice, and the soil tends to break down and needs replenishing a few times per year.
Cheers to the Shroomery gardening enthusiasts!

Ahhh! Wonderful thread!!!
So far, I've been picking asparagus.

Garlic is looking good.

Got some greens ready to go out.

Future sauerkraut.

And, transplanting tomatoes and peppers to bigger containers. cant wait to get them out!

That's about it for now, more to come!

Man o man, this Vietnamese coriander (cilantro) is AMAZING.
Never seen anything other than bamboo grow so fast, it was about 3-4" when I bought it, now less than a month later it is monstrous!! A good 2 feet across, and putting out new leaves/chutes daily.
Moroccan mint is also thriving, can't wait until it's big enough to start brewing tea, my favourite non-alcoholic beverage! Going to take cuttings galore and try and get a whole border/grow box full of it.
I think I'm gonna have trouble eating the Vietnamese beast as it is, super vigorous and a must have for Asian food lovers!

So jealous of all you guys with actual gardens, 3rd floor apartments kind of suck for gardening..

This is my first year planting anything! I've got some radishes (I cut up one of those babies into my salad today!) and some mixed greens. Mint grows here like a weed, and we have wild blackberries here, too. I wanna plant some peppers, but IDK if its too late, plus I think I'm moving soon..

Happy to announce that I'm growing many potted plants this year. First off I recently planted blue and yellow lotus seeds in three IKEA pots that I think are big enough to take the growth. Second I just bought a mugwort plant I love the smell of and a 2 or so foot long San Pedro Cactus that'l hopefully grow at least for a couple of years before I chop it up and eat it!!! (It will, if I ever felt like doing that I would find some other source, I just like having the plant spirit so close to me in my life). As well me and my family are growing tomato plants, artichokes, onions, brussel sprouts, lettuce, and spinach (the spinach aint doing so well though... what can you do though). So thats the list! Super excited to be around so much new growth in a period of deep healing for me. Its very cool.

wow there are some pretty heavy duty gardens going on in this thread. i have a couple tomato plants, basil, green beans, zucchini, and working on portabellas since just recently. do any of you have a local farmers' market that you sell to? it's something that i've thought about, but i don't think i produce enough bulk at the moment.

We just got our garden set up! We've got grapes, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries! Some tomatoes to flesh out our fruit offering, along with spinach, romaine lettuce, and a few different kinds of onion. Then we have some summer savory, basil, and mint.

Chives, strawberries, tomatoes, rhubarb, feijoas, passion fruit, basil, parsley, trichocereus bridgesii, papaver somniferum, silverbeet, garlic, lemons, limes... probably some more I'm forgetting.
I'm wanting to add some more 'active' species to the list as well as some interesting chilli peppers.
Loving all the pictures!

spinach and brussels sprouts prefer cooler weather, if you can move them to a little more shady area at least during the hotter parts of the day you should see some improvement

the kale was harvested a couple hours after the photos were taken. got almost 2 lbs and had ~1.5 lbs of dying leaves or leaves too frassy/holey for me to eat. that's about 5 lbs of edible kale harvested the last two weeks, from 10 plants. most were left with 5-6 med-large leaves. the bare spot next to the kale is planted in okra
never had cukes or squashes fruiting this early; the butternuts especially. not sure how they're going to turn out. my container zuke has a mosaic virus, i'm 99% sure, but i should get one zuke off of it before i remove it. the cukes are snow's fancy
gonna let my four tomatoes flower out by the end of next week. they've been putting off blooms for three-weeks now, but they need another foot or so, imo, and to bush out some more before they put a lot of energy into fruits
