A wet, soggy and leech infested day amongst it, but fun all the same.
Gymnopilus junonius:

Favolaschia calocera:

Not sure, I think a Posita sp.

A lone Mycena chillin' on a log:

Leucoagaricus ooliekirrus....I think...:

Clitocybe sp.

Another unknown:

...and some old ass train tracks....

More shots to come tomorrow.
Happy hunting all.

Great pics! Especially this one-
Beautiful! Your stomping grounds look like a lot of fun to forage in... You should return to photograph those Gyms everyday for a week.

Cheers man, they are becoming one of my fav mushrooms, so hard to get a good shot of though, they seem to love it deep in the forest where it's too dark and too hard to get a decent distance between mushroom and camera.
Wasn't real happy with todays photos I kept rushing due to leech invasion. The odd one here or there doesn't bother me, but everytime I got up from a shot I had like 6 or so trying to burrow through my clothing.

I'll remember that next time I'm covered in mosquitoes, "At least I'm not covered in burrowing leaches".

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC. I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi. I really do. I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them. I think they are beautiful. I even dream of them.

Favolaschia calocera - simply amazing. You have some lovely stuff over there! Those Clitocybe with the blue-green stipe - gah man, guess I'm going to have to get over to that continent before I die.
Simply fantastic! RD

Awesome stuff SW!
Your Clitocybe is Omphalotus nidiformis. Now I want to go on puffing billy. It's been years.
