from my experiences the physical feelings top mental ones because ive learned to overcome mental pains. the worst feelings include headaches, toothaches and alcohol overdose: i was drinking until i started throwing up, couldn't walk, spent a few hours hugging the toilet and aching all over, dry wretching and crying like a little kid because it was too horrible and painful. and then having a killer headache afterwards. i swore never to get drunk again no matter what and im been sober ever since. i guess i felt "that bad" and decided not to drink although i see friends say that all the time then drink themselves stupid the next night.
the mental ones... probably telling a long time friend i loved her and she said "okay... i don't." that was like living in a fire for a few weeks until i realized something that turned those frowns upside down.
